Foster has 29 tackles in six games this season with no sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries or interceptions. He has also missed 10 tackles in six games, according to SportRadar, and has the second highest rate of missed tackles among any linebacker with at least 200 snaps on defense.

Is missed tackles one of those misleading stats that seems worse than it is (i.e. the guy is actually super aggressive and gets to attempt tackles on plays that other LBs don't even get a chance for a missed tackle on) or does he just suck and the niners are better off without him?

I just realized that we could face the most unwatchable SB this season if Chargers go against the Saints. It could very well happen. Chargers storyline would be bringing hope to the people of Cali after the wildfires a la Katrina 2.0. Rivers would bring up God and faith in every interview. Saints storyline would be reaching the SB again after Katrina 1.0 and I bet they'll wheel out Steve Gleason for those extra feels.

Foster is overrated. Its sad, and I didnt want to admit it, but he has now played enough games to get an idea of his ability. He isnt that great.

He showed flashes last season, and is an above average athlete and can cover laterally very well, but other than that he has been a disappointment. He is prone to injury, misses tackles, and just isnt having the effect I thought he would. Fuck em.

Fred Warner is the real deal anyway.

I don't know what happened to Foster this year but he's been invisible all season. Maybe he has been trying not to play as hard as he used to to avoid injury or something? Whatever it is, this isn't as big a blow as it would have been at the beginning of the season because he's just been mediocre this year.

This goes for all teams but happens to be the 49's today, but it is pathetic how far they will go to protect players when they are playing well.

The better you are playing the more you can get away with. If you are playing hall of fame level you can literally murder people as long as you don't get charged with anything. If you suck , you get the boot for jaywalking.
