Let us all remember Josh Gordons best season, 2013.

14 games
87 catches
1646 yards

With QB’s named Hoyer, Weeden and Campbell. He has missed 43 of a possible 68 games because of suspensions.

It was a hell of a year but he did get a massive 179 targets that year.

It's possible, but the Chiefs and Chargers look considerably better on a week-to-week basis.

Since NFL reseeds though, if Chargers go in as the #5 seed, likely to have Chiefs/Chargers and Texans/Pats divisional round unless Ravens or Colts can pull something off as a #6 seed.

well fuck,

One of the worst years for the pats in ages, and now this...

the pathetic thing is, with the state of the afc, it is possible they make the conference championship-PROVIDED- they play good on defense(as if) & the offense is able to get 24+ points.

And the Pats STILL have a 2 game lead in the division with 2 games to play and the ONLY team in the AFC East with a positive scoring differential. Your entire run has been built on playing in a shit division.

like that is the fault of the patriots. that is the fault of the OTHER 3 teams(granted the pats still would have dominated like they have, just instead of 12-4 or 13-3 it'd be more like 11-5 10-6

And fewer runs to the Superbowl since not every AFC playoff would be played in Gillette Stadium. The Pats are 3-4 on the road in the playoffs in the Brady era. It may be the OTHER 3 teams faults they suck, but it damn sure inflated the Patriots ability to make runs in the playoffs.

The same could be said of the Cowboys. The only years they are ever in the mix is when the other 3 teams are dumpster fires like this year. Yet every time your shit division lets you get close to 8-8 its non stop talk about Superbowl runs.

The team I would least like the Chargers to play in the playoffs is the Steelers.

Cowboy playoff appearances in the Brady era:

2003. Cowboys were wild card, 10-6, Eagles won division 12-4
2006. Cowboys were wild card, 9-7, Eagles won division 10-6, Giants were wild card team 8-8
2007. Cowboys won division, 13-3, Giants AND Redskins were wild card teams. 10-6, 9-7 respectively
2009. Cowboys won division 11-5, Eagles were wild card, 11-5
2014. Cowboys won divsion 12-4. No other NFC East team in playoffs (Eagles just missed at 10-6)
2016. Cowboys won division 13-3. Giants wild card 11-5.

You are just fucking stupid.

Yes there was a lot of 1 and done in your division. Want a cookie for your playoff participation trophy? No team was dominant in your division the last decade. You had as much opportunity as the Patriots, but your team is fucking garbage. Sorry about your luck.

Pats no doubt have had a cushy ass ride into the playoffs..( Curious how many teams have successful away playoff records.)

BUT anyway...two of those 1st three Super Bowls they had to win on the road in Pittsburgh.

The one in Foxboro (deflate gate) they KILLED the Colts. Indoor team. This is the one that you can make a case against. This was a huge home field advantage. BUT more importantly, they squeaked by the Ravens in the divisional round. This was the one year I thanked the shitty AFC East.

Last Super Bowl they had to beat the Steelers again. Home field sure, but lets be real, The Pats have the Steelers playoff number.

So fuck the AFC East for the Pats success. Thank Pittsburgh!

Saints DE Jordan: Big Ben not in top 5 this era

It's funny b/c I've had this debate with a few friends as well. Obviously Ben isn't what he was a couple of years ago, but I don't think he gets as much credit as he should have AT TIMES in his career. The irony is I think he actually became in the realm of "elite" passer AFTER this two Super Bowl wins. Jordan ranking Eli ahead of Ben was a little odd, given he was scoffing at Ben's 2 Super Bowl wins as part of the reasoning why he is a future Hall of Famer. Was interesting he brought Rivers up, though. Without the Super Bowls, I think Rivers is right up there with both Ben and Eli, probably above Eli overall. Rings do kind of matter in the end, though.
