BRING BACK THE REPLACEMENT REFS!!!
It wouldn't get any worse, plus Packers would still get all the calls.
Also, Chargers are a pretty shitty team. Not only losing to a 3rd string QB playing his first game, but not putting up any points for three quarters. Rivers is only good at impregnating his wife. I laughed when they put up the stat of him becoming the 4th QB starting 200 consecutive games with a side not of being the only one never played in a SB.

During the next CBA the players union needs to form solidarity with the officials.

Officials need to be full time year round NFL employees. Pay them $250k-$350k a year (NHL refs make $160k-$360k a year, linesmen make ($110-$250k)

During the season and playoffs.
1 day of work On field
1 Travel day
3 days off
2 in class room mandatory rules review and testing every week.

During these 2 days, All games are watched as a full group.
All games are peer reviewed and graded.
All official crews keep the same members all season.
Official crews with the best peer reviewed records gets to do the Championships games and Superbowl. Each person on that crew get a $100k bonus for SB and $50k for Champ games. $25k for other playoffs.

Off season. 3 months off. Feb March April. May June July are Class room review and testing, new rule brainstorming to go to NFL brass and best practirs review of other sports.

You have the cash for this NFL. Make it happen.

You will lose referees if you do this. These guys have very lucrative careers outside of football. Ed Hochuli is a multi millionaire lawyer. Low IQ football fans bring this up all the time, if retards can think of it, don't you think the NFL has thought of it?

Good, dump the chumps who don’t need the job. Their level of care is not high enough.

Get some refs who value the job and have something to lose.

Look at the post above you :)

Sorry, but I don't get this move by the Rams. I think Ramsey is a generational talent, probably best CB in the league. But the Rams have multiple holes to fill still, and paying that much draft capital for a guy that needs a gigantic contract, just doesn't make sense for the position they are in.

The problem is not Goff, the problem is that Goff is a pocket passer who rarely has a pocket because his offensive line fucking sucks. And Gurley's health is a coin toss.

I know it's high school football, but still funny.

Retire after successfully stopping a TD? Ref blew the play dead.

Yeah the Goff contract is pretty absurd but he's good when he has the pieces in place. Not having a real run game and health issues have been a huge issue for them.

Goff is averaging 2 turn overs per game lately. Also the Gurley contract destroyed the Rams.
