If that helmet is rotated even slightly and catches Rudolph with the hard plastic there would have been high likelihood of serious injury and Garrett’s career in the NFL would be over with possible jail time. He should consider himself lucky. As it is he will probably lose all of his endorsement deals for a long time, but I guess he will still sign a $150-million mega deal after his rookie contract...so none of it matters.

I think you guys are vastly overestimating how hard you can swing a helmet over a person while falling backwards with two people shoving you.

"Literally commit assault" is stupid. It's assault every time one of them throws a punch at a guy or stomps on someone or shoves them etc. and that shit happens all the time in the NFL. Other than that, the wack-a-mole part should have him holding a helmet, not a mallet.

Overall disappointing meme, a lefty must've made it.

People in hockey slash each other all the time but McSorley was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon when he did it. Almost like not every incident is the same.

Didn't even read that line. My mind started wandering to the possibility of making the rematch in 2 weeks a PPV event. That might turn things around for the NFL.

Care bear stuff really has to stop. Come on. Let's go back to 10 seconds to go.

Fact 1: It was a rough game for the Steelers.
Fact 2: As part of ^, the Browns were sometimes demonstrating some major physical domination.
Fact 3: That physical domination was not dirty, or, MOST of it was not dirty.
fact 4: The play in question starts, not with the tackle, but with Rudolph with both hands clawing at Garret's helmet like something out of a a mash-up between Alien and how actual spiders ensnare their prey
Fact 5: It is unreasonable to ask someone to not panic if a spider and/or alien is trying to inject them with venom and wrap them in a silken cocoon.
Fact 6: Given that Mason Rudolph is a spider, Miles Garret cannot be held as out of line in this case.

I probably hate the Steelers more than anyone else on these forums. And Garrett was still a piece of shit in my mind.
