I'd give you an internet for this post, but, you know...Hockey is such an amazing game that if they ever had people in charge that weren't retarded it could pass baseball imo.
So much this.Hockey is such an amazing game that if they ever had people in charge that weren't retarded it could pass baseball imo.
No to both.that roster looks mediocre at best
are the canadian and russian rosters out yet?
Here are some projected rosters. While not a guarantee of anything, fun to look at.
Olympics: Competition intense for Canadian roster spots - 2014 Olympics
Canada is going to win this, bitches.
Yeah, I'm hoping the front five can just keep the puck beyond middle ice so the net minders don't have to deal with it...the projected defense/offense on that roster is just ridiculous
their goalies are lulz though
Which D would you move out for Yandle? Cause I for one am more than happy to not see Jack Johnson on the list. That roster really has some head scratchers, especially on D.
I put Yandle ahead of Martin, Faulk, & Orpik. I'd also try to squeeze in Byfuglien. Team USA has no depth at center (Kesler is penciled in as the #1 there), having mobile defensemen that can move the puck out fast is going to be key for the US, especially on the large ice. I think the defense core they went with would have been great if it weren't for the larger rink.Which D would you move out for Yandle? Only reason Orpik is there is because they wanted a hitter, but he's too GD slow for the Olympic ice. He's gonna lay a few guys out, but it's not going to make up for getting smoked by some of these speed demons out there on the big ice.I put Yandle ahead of Martin, Faulk, & Orpik.
Yeah, the larger ice is an issue for several players. I play in a pick up game of hockey locally, and we have an olympic sized ice rink, and those extra 20 feet make a huge difference in how you skate, pass, and how tired you get.Only reason Orpik is there is because they wanted a hitter, but he's too GD slow for the Olympic ice. I honestly don't know enough about defensive pairings to know if there is any truth to this, but what I read was Martin is supposed to be the ideal guy to put next to Suter?I put Yandle ahead of Martin, Faulk, & Orpik. If that's true for Orpik it's even more true for Byfuglien. I love his hard shot and all and the offense he can bring but the guy can be a defensive liability and will not be able to cover that much ice. (mostly a reponse to Voldeth) I can see why they'd want to have Orpik on the team though.Only reason Orpik is there is because they wanted a hitter, but he's too GD slow for the Olympic ice.
