Florida or Vegas?

I thought the Canes did well yesterday (and not done yet). Burns is arguably on par with Hamilton (despite age) plus he's going to be playing with Slavin and most likely PP1 so a ton of scoring opportunities (he takes a ton of shots). Max and Coughlin for basically nothing is another win (only question is can he stay healthy). Add in Kase. I still would like if they are able to resign Nino but it's not looking good. Only problem is if it stays like this, they are relying on Kotkaniemi to play 2C.

Dylan Strome! Man our GM expecting plenty of LTIR cap space I guess. Lets Tampa it up.

I believe it was reported he couldnt even go to his grandfathers funeral because of the border restrictions. And that a lot of other Americans couldnt see their families for almost 2 years because of it. I dont blame them at all for wanting the hell out. Plus the taxes and media pressure 24/7 would be awful to deal with.

Absolute steal for the Kraken. This has been a good summer. Defense is still weak, but forwards have improved immensely.

It was definitely a cap dump. Just surprised we got him so cheap. But unlike Vegas, at least Columbus got something for their salary dumps lol

My only thought is that both Huberdeau and Weegar weren’t going to re-sign in Florida, but Jesus Christ.

I just love that Florida doesn’t have a 1st round pick until 2026 now.

Hubie and weegs are both UFA in a year. Hubie likely won’t remain in Calgary. Time will be a better judge of this trade than the knee jerk reactions of the names lined up against each other.

They can trade both of them at this coming deadline for even more picks/prospects. A player like Hub on that cap hit this year? Two 1sts easily.
