Same with Seattle. The only game Ive watched was the first game because that wasnt blacked out. Granted Seattle also signed a deal with probably one of the worst sports channels out right now. Fuck Root.

I recently moved back to the DC area but I'm using my cable sub from CT for streaming purposes because my neighborhood in CT had a deal with the cable company for a discount (300 channels + sports package + HBO + 100 mb internet for $60/month). I only have a FIOS internet subscription locally so when I use ESPN+ or whatever it thinks I'm in CT

Oh gotcha, that's an interesting issue I wonder if there is some sort of workaround for that. It's funny because I hated the fact there were a couple games last month that were ONLY on ESPN+ and not shown locally/on tv.

Watching via Sportsurge is fine, I'm just saying I thought with ESPN taking over that I would no longer need to use illegal streaming sites and that I would be able to watch using legitimate sources

maybe i'm just jaded, been out of market for all my teams the last 7+ years and haven't had a legit TV subscription the whole time so streaming all the way

I dont mind streaming from my PC, its just annoying when Id rather turn on ESPN+ and lay on my couch and not deal with blackouts.

I watch local for all my teams games but the internet is great to catch up on the other hot teams especially when we aren't playing.

So many great teams at the top this year. Carolina and Florida are really showing up. Can't get over how well Carolinas defense plays. And watching Carter Verhaeghe really makes me sad to see what we lost.

TB not gonna survive with the amount of turnovers we produce. If we can tighten up that then I'll be happy.

Ovechkin and Backstrom just hard carrying while we ice a bunch of replacements on D and a couple rookie forwards every night.

Poor Kreider was the goal leader for about 13 seconds and then Ovi scored. Should be a fun race this year.

Was a fun 13 seconds! Don't expect him to win the Rocket obviously, just happy to see him set a personal best. Having a home grown player hit 30 goals is actually a rarity for the Rangers.

Ah yeah, that makes sense. Chicago would likely have to retain a bunch of salary for Fleury to Caps to work. Unless we're just going to pull a Tampa/Kucherov with Mantha this year and have him only come back for playoffs.

What's crazy to me is how they say Jones/Kane/Toews are ountouchable. Chicago looks like it'll be fucked for years. Especially because Jones is going to be making fucking 9.5 next year...

Yeah they're fucked. The only larger salaries that drop after this season is Fleury and DeHaan. And I guess Kubalik and Strome if they don't resign them.

Kane/Toews contracts expire after next season. If they resign Kane, he'll likely make around the same amount. I could see him getting a similar deal to Ovi assuming next season he rebounds a bit. But Toews would probably make in the 4-5mm range. They're going to eat up all of that paying Debrincat though.
