From what I gather, everything is new - the level designs and layouts are "the same"
I was a big starfox & SF64 fan everything they showed matched my memberberries perfectly, the layout the bob-and-weave float-yness of the ship etc.
What didnt match obv is the new mission brief scanes and added cutscnes, the "fleshing out" of the characters is not something I really jive with, as mentioned in the mario movie, fox acted more like falco... so /ehh
One thing I /hope/ I noticed.... one of the objectives to get to the "best" and "hard" route was keeping your teammates alive... slippy is especially hard because he is pants on head retarded and they only regained so much HP after each stage.
Your teammates take damage when a bad guy gets on them and you dont save them etc. etc... but on the fire planet-- if you fly too close to the lava you take periodic damage (or it is always and increases if your close...its been a bit)... however! your crew does not, UNLESS THEY ARE TALKING... only while they are talking do they take the periodic damage.. and in this stage there is ALOT of useless banter and I would always have stupid slippy die AS HE IS TALKING TO ME about random nonsense... and while I loved the game I was not super ace pilot at it, you essentially had to have slippy at 100% going into that stage and be right on the draw saving him (at your own determent usually) - and yes the "Help me!" message causes him to take damage AND the "Thanks fox!" message... so many times i would save him near the end and he would go "Thanks for the save!" = "AAAHHHH!!!!!!!" boom
Anywho, looking at the video, I think I could tell that they (peppy was talking) were NOT taking damage while talking during the lava planet.
edit: rewatched the video- right when peppy pops up to talk, he takes a hit of damage, and I do not see him being "attacked" on the screen...ehh /sigh lol guess I gatta GET GUD
