Not sure where you're seeing that, but your source contradicts your claim.

A 004 appears in the Benson novel The Facts of Death.
In the Sebastian Faulks novel Devil May Care, Bond girl Scarlett Papava is unveiled as 004, replacing the previous agent who was killed in Berlin

In Anthony Horowitz's continuation novel, set before the events of Casino Royale, an unnamed agent 007 is murdered, which leads to James Bond taking over the code-number in Forever and A Day, thus marking his first ever assignment as a 00-agent.

003 first appears in Thunderball. Either he or another 003 is found dead, in Siberia, in A View to a Kill.

004 first appears in Thunderball, where he is played by Frederick Warder.
In The Living Daylights, either he or another 004 accompanied 002 and 007 to Gibraltar; he is murdered by a false KGB agent who tags the body with "Death to Spies" in Russian after his support rope is cut and he is sent plummeting down a cliff to his death.

wat a twist

i'd guess $400m+ for just the movie? Amazon was willing to drop $125m for Coming to America 2

I don't get why more movies don't do this. Release exclusively on a certain streaming platform for a few months then go on everything else. Make a ton of money. Fuck the theaters.

Bond has always been a big theater movie. Only geeks watched it at home.

Totally agree. Bonds are fun movies but nothing about them needs to be seen on the big screen, like, for example, Interstellar.

Skyfall had some fantastic cinematography and was fantastic in theater. Actually one of my favorite movie going experiences.

i will admit, the scene at the end of Quantam(?) where they have all the sinking buildings in Venice was pretty cool watching on the big screen. then in Casino Royale, there was that one scene where Bond runs through a bunch of different buildings chasing that one guy. other than that though, i could take it or leave it. i noped out after Quantam because my dad was the only one who got me to watch Bond flicks and he was tired of them.

stream companies maxxed out at $300m, Broccoli and the other Bond producers wanted $600m. so no bond in day 0 streams for now

still kinda crazy that amazon/netflix/Apple will pay up to $300m for first streaming rights to a summer blockbuster movie. Also kinda sets the max budget ($150m or so) for future big stream movies.

if it's anywhere close to spectre in quality, a cinema ticket price would be highway robbery. the only good one with craig was casino royale, since then they've been steadily worse.

Other than the comments from the previous Bond girl, everything reported in this article is absolute trash. I will never spend money on a bond film again.

Uh. It's in the actual trailer.

She's 007 for some part of the story in-universe. Big deal. She'll probably die by the end of the movie.

Doesn't mean she gets the "role" or "james bond movies" of her own.
