very little of the nanobots make any sense the more you think about it. Literally bond was carrying around a watch that WOULD DESTROY NANO BOTS AROUND HIM lololol (watch was an EMP, nanobots are still suspectible to EMPs)

a lot of people suspect the virus plot was significantly altered in 2020 in response to the covid19 pandemic, there are small hints in the movie it was meant more as a global virus that would kill <white people? brown people? rich people? pick someone?> but after covid it was altered to be this weird nanobot assassin thing.

Something similar happened to the falcon/winter soldier TV show plot, which also seemed to involve a virus plot that got significantly changed.

Nanobots are just a scifi way of saying magic. Much like time travel in media, the more you think about such a concept the more it makes less and less sense logically in every media it appears in.

basically, nanotech is the "hackers" of the 80s and 90s. back then hackers could do everything. they could turn your cup of coffee into a fire hydrant with just a few random clicks of the keyboard.

I watched this last night, I thought I’d write what I think about it but already barely remember anything about it. Either it’s age or it was very forgettable.

I‘m more interested now in who the next Bond will be and what direction they’ll go with him. In this woke world, I wonder if there’s room for Bond to be Bond. He was very much a product of his time and a lot of what made Bond great is no longer acceptable sadly.

I think the ending my prove to be far more significant than expected…we might truly have seen the last true Bond.

James Bond represents traditional masculinity, wouldn't surprise me if they flipped the franchise on its head and made Bond an African female.

They should make Bond be a new genre akin to Steampunk where it's spy movie stuck in the 60s-70s but they have some era appropriate modern technology like spaceships (see You Only Live Twice and Moonraker).

It isn't working in the modern day with modern tech and modern politics.

Casino Royale only worked because it was totally neutral in setting. Goldeneye only worked because it was a Soviet throwback.

Other than those, the only modern one I liked was Tomorrow Never Dies, because China was lower tech than the west and it had a modern take on an evil secret base with the stealth sub.

Man if they made Bond prementatly stay in the 60s-70s would be amazing. I agree the modernized versions of it take away a lot of the fun and it get a bit over the top.

it would follow in the vein of all the soft reboots too. you need a real chad Bond though. not some femme faggot. but if they could pull the first movie off then they could run through all the old titles again, giving them a slight twist, by the time they reach the Octopussy quality of films. they can do something else. hopefully all of us will be too old and dead to care anymore.

Better question is why did they make Craig's Bond simp for every piece of poon he plowed? Bond in the books is a psychopath killing machine. Women are nothing more than a means to an end and some mild amusement.

He was never supposed to have depth, moral conflict or attachment issues.
