ok, i wasnt sure if they were looking for jedis and they sensed Luke was one. so basically they are looking for Obi Wan and he is endangering Luke by being near him?

Possibly. Maybe that is why he goes to another planet in the show so they dont notice Luke. But the inquistors are looking for Obi Wan here.

Between both sentences, you kind of hit the motivating plot point as I understand it from semi-reliable sources. For now its best to leave it at the Inquisitors are hunting down jedi and something definitely leads them to Tatooine, but its not Obi-Wan or Luke.

pretty awesome to see more of the stuff from Rebels (and the other good recent stuff like Fallen Order) in live action. i will say though, if they helicopter with the fuckin lightsaber....
