Anyone in the Tulsa or OKC area know if there are any good cancer clinics? That's the one thing holding us back from seriously considering OK for a move. Curse generic disorders!

I also believe there is a rather good cancer treatment center in Tulsa, but it escapes me now and I can't find anything on the interwebz but that's in my mind for some reason. Honestly the folks I know that have late stage cancers typically shoot on down to Houston and MD Anderson anyway as they are looking for the best standard of care.

Nice thank you. This puts OK back on the table.
Oh yeah MD Anderson is the gold standard. We lived in Houston for 8 years and that place has a way of making you feel better just walking through their doors. I have routine scans every 5 months to keep on top of everything so I'm not incredibly worried about finding late stage stuff.

Stephenson in mid-OKC is Oklahoma's only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center, so there's that.

Edit - Beated.

I've lived here for nearly 40 years and every year I feel better and better about the prospect of staying longer. Only places that I would even consider going are Texas, Tennessee, and Florida.
Yeah, Eastern TN in the mountains is about my only other choice but not feasible right now due to work/kids. I enjoy that area though, and something on a river or nice lake looks pretty good to me. Oklahoma is great though in its way and a fine place to raise a normal family.

Half of the thing that made me hate living in OK as a teenager and college adult are the things that I love now. I truly have become an old man.

Never been in a state with reservations. Any input impacts from any of that?

Jogger % is a bit higher than id like compared to some places. Had like 3 recent police shootings in okc/tulsa so was a scosh worried my work sites are going to get me chauvined.

Don't live in OKC or Tulsa. Live nearby and drive in. If you aren't in actual jogger or wetbackvilles for your worksites, you'll be fine. Most places are safe as houses and safer than most comparable big cities, I'd wager. Plus we got big roads, cheap gas. Reservations tend to keep to themselves, far as I know, but I don't live near one. But Indian country has pretty much all the casinos, if that's your thing.

Anyone tried Starlink? A friend loves it but he's in Vermont. I fear we are too far south.

Per mbit we probably have one of the most expensive connexions in the world here in the sw corner. (12 mbit for 100 a month)

Grab the Starlink app from Play/Apples Garbage store, and check for obstructions in areas were you would want too "mount" the dish. You are looking at the whole area for satellite coverage, not just the center of the square the whole thing is the field of view that Dishy needs too hit multiple satellite...

Price is supposedly coming down on the kits also(soon, they have said) but there still working on there "Freaking Satellite With laser beams" the first batch of them goes up on the next flight up, but they have been having issues cause Viasat/Hughesnet are being little bitches cause there shit is getting pushed in.

Well it's official. We are moving to OK. We can't stand it in Mass anymore. The vaccine ID bullshit they're talking about here was the last straw. We are evacuating. Fuck this place.
We don't even have an exact location picked out yet aside from it being in the OKC area for the cancer center. It'll be an adventure if nothing else.

Shame, coulda taken a spin in my jag I think you've commented on other threads on.

Wife is so impatient to move. Hate having to try and tell her the reality that a few things have to fall into place for it to work.

Coworker was in OkC. Said Id hate it, felt big but empty, etc. I was like sounds fantastic.

Don't live in OKC, ugh. It's suffering the same fate as all other decent sized cities, an influx of deliberately-placed illegals, meant to ultimately destabilize. But suburbs and surrounding countryside are still viable and quite pretty in places. I love to hate this place, but until I retire to America's penis, aka Florida, it's home.

Per the start of this thread, thought would be 30-45 minutes outside tulsa/okc and commute into work. Preferably more east closer to hills and trees so I'm told.

It's hills and trees everywhere that is 5 miles outside the suburbs. You can live 10 min outside the suburbs and you'll never see your neighbors.

Haha soon as we figure out where exactly we'll be I'd love to meet up with some of you OK faggots.

We're aiming to leave late November and we're going to take a road trip to OK. When we arrive we want to spend time in the OKC area and also the Durant area.
For the time being my wife is still a teacher (she wants out) and if she can get a better salary commuting into TX while living in OK we want to investigate that option.
