No, they do not. In the time I've lived on my own (going on three years) they've never paid my bills. I've never went to them for food, or electricity or a cable payment. Never went to them for car insurance, or daycare or any of that shit.

They simply buy me shit I would buy myself anyways. They enjoy doing it I guess, I don't know. To imply I wouldn't have a car if my parents didn't buy it is retarded. Of course I would.

It'd probably take longer for me to buy all the shit I want, but I'd still get it. I'd just have to do without something else or save or blah blah. As it is I don't have to make those decisions. I get both. I basically get whatever I want within reason and it's always been that way.

So you can afford your own vehicle but you get your parents to pay for it since you know if you drag it out they will. This is some how better? You also are not paying a lot of bills if you think you have 2500 left after doing so on 45k a year.

Who said I get my parents to pay for it? When I was looking for a EP3 I mentioned it to my dad and when I found one and was on the way to look at it he just transferred the money for it to my checking account. Or, in other scenarios, they go with me because I value my dad's opinion on stuff like my ATV or my motorcyle.

I never said I have a lot of bills. I just said I pay them. I'm a pretty simple guy, and as such I live fairly cheaply.

My EP3 only cost $5k. Implying I couldn't swing that on my own is silly. My bike was only $3k. The Silverado I would've had to make payments on, but that would've been easy since they were offering 0% financing. In fact I paid I think 3 or 6 payments on it (they were like $338 iirc) before my parents paid it off.

I don't know what taxes are like in Arizona, but in Canada @ 45k per year salary you should only clear about $3200 a month.

At that rate you pay $700 in bills total?

Eat a lot of Top Ramen?

I don't even think I have $700 in bills, not counting daycare. I think it's closer to $550ish not counting food. I don't each much ramen, mostly tv dinners/hot pockets/canned soup. I eat out about everyday too.

I have my bills split so that half are due on the 5th and half on the 20th. I pay all of those from the paychecks (same dates) from my part time job. I get paid weekly from my day job and I just use that for everything else like food and fucking around.

Oh and some jobs I get paid a % instead of hourly. Or if they're really good jobs I get hourly AND a %. So some months I make more than others.

I'm just curious what grown man accepts money from his parents? I'm 23 and I don't let my mother or father buy me shit. My dad buys us concert tickets and beers when I come over, that's about it. Do you have a nutsack? You don't feel in the least bit that something is wrong here?

He's paying more than that in taxes. Bare minimum of 25% in federal taxes, and arizona probably has state income tax too. What's your rate in canada? 15%? Unless this is under the table tax free money, he's bringing home more like $2800/month. Maybe the GF splits bills with him. Sounds like he's paying either the electricity and water, or the cable/internet/ cell phone. (unless he lives in an apartment, in which case it'll all be a lot lower and he might be paying all of them)
