Anyone work at Meta, Anthropic, OpenAI, Vouched, Bank of America, Microsoft, RTX (Raytheon), Cheniere, Disney, Amazon, or Morgan Stanley and willing to put a good word in for your local neighborhood FBI agant?

Yes, I'm serious. Looking for a leg up. My private sector contacts only have contacts at Meta and Morgan Stanley.

After speaking to a few of you, here's the pertinent info from the resume:

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Digital Forensics & Evidence Analysis • Cyber Threat Investigations & Intelligence
• Incident Response & Root-Cause Analysis • Network Monitoring & Intrusion Detection
• Ransomware, Data Exfiltration & Insider Threats • Cross-Agency Collaboration & Stakeholder Briefings
• Mobile Device & Windows Forensics • Policy Development & Security Frameworks

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Special Agent – Digital Forensic Examiner
Federal Bureau of Investigation, NJRCFL | Hamilton, NJ July 2021 – Present
• FBI Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE), under the FBI Computer Analysis Response Team (CART) program. Responsible for the duplication, preservation, and analysis of digital evidence including computers, mobile devices, DVRs, infotainment systems, drones, etc.
• Provide expert pre-seizure consultation and on-scene search assistance to law enforcement agencies throughout the state of New Jersey; communicate timely on-scene priorities and identify key digital artifacts to support law enforcement actions.
• Utilize industry-standard tools including FTK Imager, AD Lab, Cellebrite, and Magnet Axiom to conduct prompt, accurate, and impartial forensic examinations of digitally stored media across child safety, national security, cybercrime, violent crime, and other criminal matters.
Key Accomplishments:
• Completed more than 100 digital forensic examinations supporting FBI, New Jersey State Police, and multiple local law enforcement agencies — providing critical evidentiary analysis that advanced criminal prosecutions across child safety, cybercrime, national security, and violent crime matters.
• Designated as the NJRCFL's Lead Digital Forensic Examiner for large-scale data center operations — selected to lead the most complex and voluminous cases in the lab, directly expanding the lab's capacity to support high-priority federal and state investigations.
• Established as the go-to pre-seizure consultant for law enforcement agencies across New Jersey — reducing evidence collection errors and strengthening the evidentiary foundation of criminal cases before they reached the lab.

Special Agent – Cyber Crime Task Force
Federal Bureau of Investigation | Newark, NJ October 2014 – July 2021
• Investigated criminal cyber intrusions under the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act including ransomware, large-scale data theft, account takeovers, insider threats involving theft and monetization of PII, DDoS attacks, and botnet operations — applying end-to-end methodology from initial response and threat assessment through evidence acquisition, attribution, and federal prosecution.
• Led complex victim engagement between Fortune 500 victim companies, financial institutions, incident responders, and legal counsel to share timely indicators of compromise, implement holistic cyber threat mitigation strategies, and elevate corporate security posture.
Key Accomplishments:
• Led the investigation of a large-scale DDoS attack targeting Rutgers University's network infrastructure — resulting in federal prosecution and $8.6M in court-ordered restitution, one of the largest cyber restitution awards in New Jersey federal court history.
• Investigated a data breach targeting a publicly traded healthcare company in which a subject stole personal health information of over 30,000 patients — coordinating directly with the victim company's incident response team and federal prosecutors to achieve a federal guilty plea under the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act.
• Developed and maintained direct working relationships with Fortune 500 victim companies and financial institutions during active cyber investigations — providing real-time threat intelligence and countermeasure recommendations that elevated their security posture beyond the immediate incident.
• Contributed to strategic initiatives that resulted in FBI Newark's cyber program being recognized by executive management as a top-rated program nationally — directly enhancing the FBI's ability to protect New Jersey's corporate and critical infrastructure community.

Special Agent – Criminal Enterprise Task Force
Federal Bureau of Investigation | Newark, NJ January 2005 – October 2014
• Oversaw a nationally recognized intelligence program consisting of hundreds of human assets throughout the world — establishing collection requirements, operational protocols, and governance structures to enable 24/7 threat monitoring and rapid response.
• Developed confidential sources and coordinated multi-agency operations across federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies targeting organized crime and violent criminal enterprises.
• Developed and implemented over 300 CONUS complex surveillance, security, and arrest operations across multiple simultaneous targets.
• Provided investigative testimony in federal court proceedings in support of successful prosecutions and convictions.
Key Accomplishments:
• Opened and built from scratch a multi-year RICO investigation targeting one of Newark's most violent criminal enterprises — coordinating across federal, state, and local agencies to charge 71 defendants with racketeering conspiracy, murder, drug trafficking, and weapons offenses, resulting in the conviction of the organization's long-time leader following a two-month federal jury trial and the dismantlement of a criminal enterprise that had terrorized Newark's community for years.
• Led complex criminal investigations resulting in the prosecutions and convictions of more than 150 domestic subjects — earning national and regional recognition for investigative excellence and directly reducing violent crime and criminal enterprise activity across the region.

Meta loves hiring ex spooks, but that company is kind 9f weird. I would jump at a job at Morgan Stanley without knowing your other interests because no matter how much that company fucks up the government has made it pretty clear they will bail them out LOL. On a more serious note it might help if we knew what specific career roles you're looking for. And you should also consider an established consulting company. Those places love to hire people who already have their clearances ahead of time.

Although it's not specifically on your list, I know someone who works for Alphabet and probably wouldn't have any issues helping.

I also have an online contact who works at Meta, although he tends to be very private and may not want to divulge contact info.

I don't mean this as any kind of argument or mockery.

In my field, "a good word" from a guy who knows me from an anonymous video game forum wouldnt count for any more than "a good word" from the homeless guy in the tent under the bridge.

Is it really so different in the fields youre looking at? That kind of blows my mind. Or is it all some joke I don't get? That would seem more likely I guess.

Are you being a dumbass? It is implied here that someone can use the internal referral system, official or unofficial, to submit his resume. This bypasses the immediate filters as most companies have a policy to actually call anyone referred by an internal FTE.

I've done it for several on here before. Haven't netted them a job but it did get them a call.

I still can't tell if you're being serious. Sometimes there are inside jokes around here that I miss.

I didn't realize you could submit resumes with just an anonymous forum name. My CV doesn't say Aldarion, fwiw

You must take a leap of faith here and provide someone you want to help you get a job with your actual resume. I thought this was obvious.

You see how you've got this backwards, right?

The "good word" is coming from someone the employer already knows. Presumably, an employee in good standing and with a good reputation. He just has to say "hey, I have a friend who's looking for something, here's his resume."

Come on man, think your schtick through before you post retarded shit.

Raytheon should not be hard to get a job if your in their comp engineering sector and many others as well- look at their smaller branches in "non prime" locations. I have 2 friends from school, they both worked publix and ran the ranks (one Customer service / admin the other food/area departmental) both got to lower-mid management, then they decided to actually use their computer engineering degrees they had and now both work for Raytheon - so resume wise both were non-related fields at Publix - into Raytheon.. Talking with them they seem like they just need people to be generally coherent and show up for work.

I used to work for Raytheon and that's not far from the truth. The interview was literally textbook java questions.

Roles I'm applying to are low level director mid upper level manager corporate security.

I haven't gone thru Alphabet's job postings yet, but I will tonight, thanks.

So if anyone's wondering, I have an email alias, [email protected], that forwards to my personal email. The plan was if someone wanted to forward my resume, email that address and I respond from my personal email (which reveals my name) and send along my resume which has a bunch of other PII in it.

I really appreciate the willingness to help (by most of you), navigating the private sector again has been an education.

If you have enough savings to last you at least 6 months, I would try to learn how to trade futures via prop firms. I lost my job a few years ago and gave it a try, it took me 6 months to become profitable, but now I work 2 hours a day and make 3x what I used to. Its not easy, you're going to spend at least 5k on evals/resets before you take your first payout. But if you stick with it and take it as seriously as you take your career job... the rewards are incredible. You can still do it on the side, it will just take longer to get to that profitable point.

Kind of out of left field, but you could work for DHS as a contractor repping yourself in that role. You meet all the quals and likely have the needed clearance and skills/experience to hop to the front of the line. And the work is easy as hell. Just be aware that the major sites you probably would end up doubling as an operations manager, but it pays ludicrously well if you do it as a contract job. This assumes you can stand working for the gov again, of course.

Otherwise, I stick to my original Morgan Stanley idea. Might be more stress than you would want though. Depending on where you live, there are municipal roles for local government that might be a good fit, too. Not as lucrative, but low stress if that's a priority. Also, have you considered taking a look at X? Lot of former spooks there you might be able to get an in with.
