Yeah it's 6 uses. Also the opposing team gets a voice report when the teleporter comes online too, I used to think it was only if one of them actually SEES it, but apparently one of their heroes just says there's a teleporter up.

A saw a streamer's premade actually skip using the teleporter to save its charges for heals/tanks... but good like telling pugs to do that.

I think if you see someone with the "teleportation effect" on them you get the automatic call out for the tele (look similar to a hero w/ Lucio shield.) Not 100% sure. I know the massively increased that effect time in the beta so I assumed that is why.

Maybe you're not being aggro enough? It isn't always the wrong outcome to die. Like if you're a McCree and you get 100 of your HP taken away in the time it takes for you to run away and grab a health pack the fight could be over and your team lost the skirmish. Leaving you alone to just die later which is actually worse because then your respawn is staggered. But if you just popped out and killed someone but got killed in the process that frag you achieved while trading for yourself could be the difference between winning and losing the fight.

Obviously it all depends on the positioning, how committed the fight is and all that. But if you look at high level DPS players they're balls-out aggro pretty much regardless of their HP pool. 76s will even leave their healing station while at critical life if it means they can confirm a kill.
I agree with you but some players are too concerned with stats like kill/death ratio to consider dying anything but wrong.

I think in PUB play it may be appropriate to try to stay alive which is why my advice may have been a tad off. If you're dead you aren't generating ult and if you're not ulting you're not clearing the screen. Rarely do you see coordinated pushes in quick play so there should be a bit more of an effort for self preservation in that queue.

Plays.tv keeps telling me to select Manual Recording in preferences every time I try and Cntrl+F3. But that option is greyed out? Irnewb. Hawlp me. It's just recording all of my gameplay. I just want to take snippets? Closed it and re opened it and now I selected manual and now I don't get an error when I hit Cntrl+F3, but there's no 30 second clip to be found under my videos? Thanks in advance for the help. Much appreciated. Saves me the time of watching an overly long, convoluted youtube tutorial. Edit: okay I think I figured it out. So you can only record the last 30 seconds, rather than starting it up and it recording the next 30 seconds yeah? So If I want to save a POTG, I watch it and then after it is over I hit the Cntrl+F3 hotkey? And then after that, what's the process of uploading them as a gif? Or perhaps I make a youtube account and upload the videos there? Are the video files that the program creates compatible? Thank you

Oh and is there a way for it to not just nonstop record and instead just force it to record the next 30 seconds?

Finally got 1000 credits. Now I'm starting to think that the Fool skin looks better than Jester. hmmm I really wish it let you preview the weapons.
It's buggy. I forget how I fixed it, but you have to set it to auto or off, mess with the other features about record time/quality/etc, then switch it to manual and it will take. ctrl + ; is manual stop and start (ctrl f3 records the previous 30 seconds). also

I'm digging this week's event. Forcing everyone to try new characters leads to some interesting games. Protip: blow your ult ASAP since you lose it upon death.

I had a killer game playing Winston. It's great that I can get behind some enemies and still leap back to the point to help with d.

Random Hero Brawl is the best Brawl and should be a permanent game mode. It makes this game 100x more fun if you start getting the try-hard, perfect comp burn out feeling.

Yeah, they really have a few game modes like this as permanent options under quick play. No hero stacking would be another good one.

5 medals, 4 of them gold and my end game card is 71% kill participation lol. Gold medals should be weighted way, way higher. 4 gold medals means you literally excelled at everything you did. Why would Blizz make an algorithm that didn't recognize that? Strange.

Not true. Gold just means you did best, or tied, in that category on that team. It's especially easy to get golds on a losing team when players leave the game due to being stomped.

Gold doesn't necessarily mean you excelled. I've had gold medal in Elims with 1 Elim because it joined me to an already in progress game. The whole team was recently joined players, or baddies

Its also very easy to get golds if you are the main dps. Tanks and healers have a bit of a disadvantage getting multiple gold

It's always hilarious to tab and see a gold with 1 or 2 eliminations. You know you're in for a good reaming.

Yea I know the game just came out but they REALLY need more game modes. I could give a fuck less about ranked but they defintely need to have this weeks brawl mode, the no stack mode, and most importantly, an arena mode.

They need a dedicated map that is more open with high ledges and flank spots, a huge open arena basically with little side hallways and ledges kind of like some of the old Quake maps. Team deathmatch rule-set where first team to 100 eliminations wins for a time limit of 10 minutes and whoever is in lead wins. Not only would this cater to a large subset of the player base, but it would provide an alternative to the objective based game mode, improving that experience as you will be playing with other players that actually want to escort a payload or defend an objective rather than lolkills.

The fact that they dont have this is kind of astonishing. At the very least they could use the maps they got and do team deathmatch on those until they release an arena map later. FFA would be fucking hilariously fun in this game I think. A lot of people talk shit about TDM but this games heroes and mechanics would allow for some pretty good encounters when it comes to team compositions and counters, big plays etc. They could even add ban options which would provide a more rich experience when it comes to team vs team play.

edit: lol new brawl mode highly recommend. I just went 29-0 w widow was so pissed i didnt get that 30 kill streak, but wow was the flow of the game waaaay different and way more fun.

Man sometimes I just don't get how people are so stupid in this game and in fact ragequit right in the middle of a game last night because of my team's stupidity.

I was pugging it last night and got into Gibraltar attacking. I normally play Roadhog and was again in this game. I start out on this map at the left entrance because most pug teams think everyone's going to enter in the middle. A few of us head out and we kill a Junkrat. I go into the building/shed that's on left hand side of the payload (if you're the attacking team) and come out next to the payload and start pushing it.

I moved the payload to the first checkpoint SOLO. There is nobody from my team with me as they are all fighting all over the place. I get the payload to about the half-way point of the next push, just at the corner where it turns, before I'm slaughtered by the other team since again, I'M THE ONLY ONE MOVING THE PAYLOAD.

This continues pretty much for the next 2-3 minutes. Everybody on my team is running around like chickens with their heads cut off and I can't move the payload for shit. Not to mention my entire team just keeps pretty much trying to solo and not work as a team.

I don't mind losing and I know when I'm playing like shit as well but to just have my team all run off in whatever direction trying to kill people and not actually do the objective is just irritating. So with about 1 minute left in the match I ragequit it.

Agreed, it would be really great to have a Team Deathmatch/Arena mode. I would love playing it as well as the other two. Also I have no idea why they don't let you pick the mode you want to be in. I much prefer KotH to the other two and would prefer playing it if I had the choice.

Hopefully once competitive comes out they open up custom options on quick play; letting you change game modes, death match option, CTF, etc.

I doubt we will ever see something like Team Deathmatch/Arena mode. I don't think that's the game Blizzard wants to make.

For better or for worse they chose to go with the team objective modes. Blizzard games have always been about being accessible to the masses. I think the Team Mode help with that...Team Deathmatch/Arena is anything but casual friendly, it's as hardcore as it gets, and most likely not the direction Blizzard wants to go...even if it's optional.

I'm not saying they are right, or wrong...just my feeling on the subject. Team Deathmatch would change how the game is perceived.
