I'd maybe prefer to see OT has a build up/down mechanic instead of touch = 100%. Like if a Tracer just darts in give it maybe like 20% of OT and if you sit on it a second or two then you can build it up to 100%.

Oh that was kinda fun, in a pretty pathetic way. Hanamura, we're on defense...we have a leaver while defending point A. We all decide for fun to continue 5 vs 6. We lose point A, but manage to defend point B. Now it's our turn to attack, we take point A under 3 minutes. When we get to point B, they switched to 1 Bastion protected by a Reinhart, 2 dorfs, 1 Lucio and 1 Mercy. We almost took point B anyways, but Mercy came back with 1 second left to rez them, and they took control...we were not able to mount another serious offensive. Sudden Death, we had to attack, and they went with same group. We didn't do much.

Kinda sad that they only way they were able to win against 5 was to use a cheese composition, and they just barely won.

On Mercy, I honestly don't have any issue with her ult up time. It's actually fine. If you play with a Mercy main, we often have a sponge strategy where our Rein, or any other tank will just walk into the open for a little bit.. soak damage, and give Mercy charges.

If they did one of two things, it would seriously balance her out really well.

A) Make her ult not case through walls
or
B) Give her ult a cast time, most champions don't get their ults fully off until their whole speech is out. While Mercy can mumble the first syllable and everyone is alive.

Both of these, would essentially make her uptime problem moot. Her uptime is purely based off your poke, the longer you wait to do something, the more she goes up. It's an anti-time bomb. If you coordinate well, its sooo easy to deal with. For example, it's something I do, and sometimes it fucks up. But if we have a Zarya, we try to combo with her. She ults, with someone else, then the mercy hits the revive and someone ults to clean up the reviving ult. It's honestly not that bad, its the fact she can hide in spawn, or under a bridge, floor, ect and do it.. There is no way to cancel it because she doesn't even have to finish the full sentence. If they did either one of the two I mention above, it would almost be Widow status w/ her scope time.

As for Ranked play. I don't really understand the struggles some people are having, i'm only assuming most of you are SoloQ'ing which I can confirm is cancer. It could be some of you are hitting the tilt-a-whirl button and barfing everywhere after two games, and its a trickling downfall. (outside the leaver issue, that just sucks, and has happen to me on multiple occasions. Even myself with a blizzard dc, internet fine, can't rejoin wtf.)

If you're really focused on climbing, let go first. After someone telling me this along time ago, I have never had an issue climbing any ladder. Do the "Pro's" get upset after one or two loss? No. All you can do is perform at the best you can, and not worry about what others are doing. Often times, you find those who are blaming others, are stuck at their own rank unable to move. You can only analyse yourself, and aim for self improvement. Figure what you can do better yourself, and better your performance as an individual.

Honestly, with this game, round up some people that you can "control." I find the magic number is anywhere between 3-4 people. If you go with 6, you're gonna have to make sure you drafted those 6 correctly. IE atleast 1 or 2 tank mains, 1 or 2 healer mains, and DPS, and just not any DPS. You wanna find yourself some siege DPS, maybe a decent flanker, and someone that can be flexible in most roles. Six people is really easy, esp when you guys can talk back and forth on what happen, make on the fly calls on how to counter-draft, and maybe learn a thing or two on what the opponent is doing right/wrong and applying it. You also don't have to follow the cheese, and do the 2-2-2 strat. I've have yet to lose to that strat, even on KOTH. Of the multiple times I have faced it, there has only been one time a double tracer comp made me require a switch off Hanzo, most times its fine. A double Genji comp made me switch from Hanzo as well, to Mei, I was the most puddi guy on the team at that point yelling FUCK YOU GENJI for the next 20 minutes. My team had a blast listening to me, because that was our second time fighting that team, and they drafted two Genji's to push my shit in.

Also if you're like 30-55ish team rating, drafting 6 will be so fucking easy. There is little to no cohesion, just a lot of smegma that is easily dealt with. Team drafting after about 57 starts to get challenging when you have to learn to expect either a rush comp, or anything along those lines.

If you want to see some "average" people play 6stack. Starts a 6min, it was a knock out fight on anubis, but we communicated.

Regarding your first point about Rein sponge for charge. They could theoretically make it so only your damage amp offers ult bonus and natively make her charge her ult faster than most. Her heal-for-ult seems similar to when they had the take-damage-for-ult mechanic which they scrapped because it wasn't very good. Not saying thats a good idea but it would be a potential fix to make it so you don't just stall for ult instead you need to actually damage for ult. I'd like to see similar changes for like Zenyatta where if someone with his E on them dies he gains ult charge and remove ult from his heal. Right now I'm not sure his E grants ult outside of your orbs doing more damage to E'd targets.

I've always been partial to the idea of letting Zen have multiple balls out at a time. So in combo, it can either be H/H, D/D, H/D. Let it stack too, so it can be either x1 healing on two people or x2 healing on one person, or x2 discord or x1 x1 discord, ect. There was also an idea making his right click simliar to D.va's matrix calling itOrbs of Peace. Basically hold right click and gives you a shield from oncoming damage, pretty cool idea. I rarely see Zen's use their right click as is.

ESL reversed their position and banned hero stacking.

Sign up for the Overwatch® Atlantic Showdown qualifiers! | ESLGaming

We have heard your feedback, agree with it and have implemented two rule changes for the upcoming qualifier:

From the second week of qualifiers onward, all matches are to be played with "Hero Selection Limit" set to "1 Per Team".
Escort and Hybrid maps will no longer reward ties. Instead, the team that manages to either a) push the payload further or b) reaches the final checkpoint faster, will be awarded an additional point and thus win the map.
We hope you enjoy these changes. Good luck in the next qualifiers, Monday in Europe and Wednesday in North America.

IMO this is how Payload should work in game. It makes the most sense to me. Time bank is okay too though tbh, but runs into a serious problem on hybrid maps where you are more likely to run into potential ties.

Yeah, I like they way are doing it too and it makes the most sense because whomever pushes the furthest ends the game so why shouldn't quickest to the last point end the game too. This sudden death/time banking stuff is overthinking the situation. Has Blizz even said why they think quickest to the last point on the first try isn't fair?

I kinda enjoyed the super strange matches during this stacking allowed period, but the stalling tactics by tracer & dva were a bit annoying so probably good that stacking is gone in the tourneys.

PC needs 12v12/16v16 quickplay, would make the game incredible for a long time in a pub setting. 6v6 makes everything too tryhard with mouse/keyboard speed/precision in the mix for casual long term fun. If you could log in to "play what you felt like" instead of having to play what it takes to win because of the player limit/character interactions then the huge cast would be a massive benefit. No one would complain about characters deemed weak or too specialized for a given situation. The fact they are already adding more just makes this problem worse through time.

Started at 47. It's a steady decline to 43 now. No matter how well I play, or my team plays we always get a clearly better team 2/3 times. I have outplayed the enemy Reinhardt 90% of the time let's say. When I don't we get roller stomped. Lets put those to the side. Those roller stomps that are my fault. The biggest issues I have found in my losses is that people just don't get how important it is to flank and get the high ground. Or we get some guy that is CRAZY good on a Tracer or Genji or Reaper and wrecks so much havok, you can't get a nice flow.
I've had more success in the morning. On average, I find less "bros", people who are potentially high and/or drunk, or trolls. Primetime seems like primetime for the Call of Duty kids.

I don't know how 12v12 or 16v16 would be. That would be insanely chaotic, could you imagine the amount of ults going out. They'd have to completely redesign new maps. That first choke on Anubis would be literal hell.

It really depends on how they approach the nerf/buff/balance. They've been insanely good at being transparent, compared to other companies like Rito and Valve. At the moment no one really needs a complete rework, or gut.. by that time happens, if it ever does, its going to have 3x the champions they have now. Most times its all very little tweaks that make the night and day difference. Take Widow for example, she went from being the most played and dominate to a nerf that almost seemed trivial was actually detrimental. Shes technically not bad, but its just hard to have someone with her reduced speed with the acceleration meta. They just don't have enough CC based champions to control a battlefield good enough for a Widow to be all that safe. Things like Hanzo, could use a small movement speed buff and he would be a lot better than he currently is. Zenyatta just needs more potency to his kit. I can't really think of anything they could do to Bastion or Mei to help them out, something could pan over time. Same w/ Symm. Games like these never stay static, even CSGO, Dota, and League face that problem. I just hope they take DoTA method of approaching buffing/nerfing rather than say Rito's.

12v12/16v16 would of course need maps, 2.5 times the size, maybe simultaneous pushes/points or multiple paths, they don't need to be balanced, they just need to be a sandbox to people to play whatever they want when they log in. Competitive can stay 6v6, that's fine, but QP/PUB/SOLO needs the chaotic sandbox to let all the characters shine, not just the top half of the cast.

I think it's because then you're limited to certain team comps, like KoTH is atm. It'll have to be fast push comps 100% of the time, can't have any grindy comps.

Anyone want to race me to rank 1?
Apparently there's already a rank 10 according to one of the ranking websites...
