Anyone else seeing the glaring issue of testers trying to test a group focused game without being able to know each other's in game, character names?

How exactly are they supposed to group to test this stuff?

Some real brainiacs over at Visionary Realms.

I suspect this is regarding their "live" characters/guilds. Its a silly rule that they can't enforce but I guess I see what they're trying to do.

Most people play less than 10h weekly. And most of them only play for a few weeks.

Hell, I’d bet good money that 10% of those purchases didn’t even play 10 hours total.

They came out and confirmed 100k unit sales Feb 20th. There is zero reason to lie about this.

But how many bought and still play? I know I stopped and figured I would pop back in with Druid. When I choose what MMO to play I tend to go back to. FF14 or recently the heroes EQ emu.

pantheon, while better than expected isn’t really ‘fun’ perhaps by my own subjective standards. But either soloing is boring or unproductive. Quests are annoying and uninformative, and grouping is not the fun people thought it would be. Too often grouped with people who have to do every single thing by the book.

as for nostalgia I remember hating that in EQ also. “Last spot for melee dps only” /sigh. The best online friends I made in EQ were the fuck it try anything people. But the masses read online you need X/Y/Z to do something and then that’s the theme. It is not fun to join random the same way trying a pickup game of cards with room temperature IQ people isn’t fun

Its fun to dick around in for a while. But its got a lot of refinement/QOL to do before it has any staying power for a lot of people. I made my own groups 90% of the time I played, so I never ran into your issues though.

Most people who I've seen quit, quit because of the lack of content and the fact that everything will get wiped eventually, not because the game isn't enjoyable. My main issue with the game is that it's pretty bare bones still. I just hope that with the seemingly decent sales this has had the pace of development will pick up.

There absolutely is a reason to bloat numbers, to give the impression that things are going better than they really are - helps garner continued support & dedication from a fanbase.

They might not be lying, who knows.

the leveling process is abit more fluid now that you can get to 20s from fort and orcs.
I think alot of my friends dropped off around lvl15 max when around orc was up. it was frustrating for them because the constant wipe at blackrose halnir cave just makes it a chore to play.but by then they got a good 30 to 50hrs with a bounce of alts to have a pretty good idea what the games about, in their mind.
