He died, he was the only person killed when the stadium collapsed - he wasn't tethered to anything as you can see from the video.

The second video you can see the tether was very short. In the video where he became one of the fallen he’s like 20-30 feet away. One of those “ah fuck it I’ve been fine so far” things that got him.

Fucking things covered in snow and ice, the dude had a death wish even considering working without a safety tether. That second video shows the conditions, well dodgy.
