For the last number of years, this thread . . . eh . . . I'd visit one every 2 months maybe, just for giggles. Today I see there's activity, open it and Blam!!!

I was at lunch at work, I had to explain to a co-worker why I was going a bit weird reading all of this. Damn!!

This immediately makes me think about how important it is to be physically capable of protecting yourself. There isn't a 70+ year old man in the world that I'd be thinking I need a gun to protect myself from. Being weak makes you more dangerous, not less

seriously doubt the gun was for that reason. Wife was cucking him, and taking his kids. Only reason to bring a gun was to hurt the wife which he did. It was gonna be her, her dad, their kids, or himself. someone was dying that day

Yeah, not sure I would take the word of his defense attorney as fact, especially after this:

Karceski told the media after the hearing that the protective order expired on Monday and pointed out that the victim (Ryan's wife) never appeared in court.

"The wife didn't show up at court, which is a very telling blow in my opinion," Karceski said. "If all of this happened to her, why wouldn't she go and continue to protect the order?"

Yeah, nothing happened in the past day or two that might have made that seem less of a pressing issue...

Mentally unstable people don't need a good reason to lash out but defense attorneys do need one they can sell to a juror. Even if Nirgon thought that, he might have just been a paranoid psycho and made up connections in his head.

I mean, don't get me wrong, she was married to Nirgon so it's certainly completely feasible that any other man might have seemed appealing, but I still won't believe it outright.

I think we all know deep down this lawyer is not gonna be his actual lawyer for the long term.

This dude is just meant to stall long enough for Nirgon to get access to a computer or buttsmuggled phone so he can contact an elite squad of forumquest p99 lawyers to show up and lay down the heaviest game since Benjamin Matlock

Disregarding the act of killing the FIL and just looking at the emotions/psychology of the situation - I cant imagine how absolutely frustrating it would be to be going through a divorce or similar and my theoretical wife have a well known, experienced lawyer as a protective father. Guy losing his wife, his kids, his father in law cucking him at every turn with legal threats and all the ramifications that would come from the FIL acting upon those threats. Then, the emotional toil that would circle the situation and how much he spiraled out from that situation.

We all know that the "sane" and "mature' thing to do would have been to walk away from it all. But I cant help but at least understand the possibilities of what could have been going through his head. I cant imagine ever thinking "You know what I'll do? Ill bring a gun to my FIL's house. That'll surely get my wife and kids back!" though. Even in a blinding rage, I have the forethought to know how shit would play out. Maturity or just fucking IQ.

Yea, its not hard to empathize with the situation. As I age I find it easier and easier to understand how you could just go completely off the rails like this. Nobody knows how to hurt you more than those closest to you and I think we all experience moments of loss of control, or near loss of control at least and seeing how you could go down that path isn't difficult. One bad day, to put it mildly, and you've ruined your entire life. Even if you set jail time aside, you've ruined your entire life just from the damage you've done to your family. Brutal

The one very cool thing about FoH is we have all been here a long time. Will most likely never meet in person - but I know if anyone here had an issue this large, Discord it up with one of us heathens. In this day and age I do not think I have seen more mental illness in the world from history until today.

Dude should have taken a deep breath and realized he would be throwing his life away for some cheating delusional hooker. People in those situations need to realize they are far better off in the long run just getting out and having a far better life without those types of people in their life. (If that was the case)

I would bet this was one discord call away from getting that light switch to turn back the other direction.

Or the dude was just insane.

But I think most people here are just overall good folks who love games.

He will probably need to do a chargeback to the Pantheon team for funds to afford a good lawyer. This could really end Pantheon.
