I started a HC paladin last night, kinda realized this games boring as fuck when you have 4 softcore characters at 85+ and the only thing to do is MF for no reason
Im sure i'll die before i hit NM a few times since i just rush through this game without thinking about it lol

Whats the usual gameplan here?

stop at countess get a stealth runeword, and a bunch of Rals for easier FR?
then just horde any resist charms n shit (primarily lightning/fire) to always be maxed out for the next difficulty before moving onto the next difficulty?

I also assume i go holy fire until like 60 then respec holy bolt / foh?

Yea holy fire can faceroll up until chaos sanctuary in nightmare, then it's probably holy bolt time. Slap an ancients pledge in to a paladin resist shield should cover the bulk of your resists for quite a while. Once you get in to hell you need to start actually putting points in to dex so you have a real block chance, otherwise you have nearly no defenses and will get exploded by phys mobs randomly.

Spirit in a crystal sword/broad sword is easy to get relatively early as well, and paladin shields can roll 4 sockets before hell.

also a random dude gave me a spirit paladin shield randomly so thats pretty dope for later on

I’ve been farming Andy in nm, I’m wondering if it’s viable to spec holy bolt / foh at 50? Or should I stick with holy fire for now

It seems a lot more interesting to take it slow and not just retard rush through it with no consequences though so it’s good so far

I ran holy fire up until chaos sanc where the fire immunes showed up, but you could swap to fist of heaven/holy bolt as soon as you have 40 skill points really.

Fist of heaven can clear all of nightmare pretty easily and quickly, especially with a spirit sword/shield, but you'll need to actually swap to holy bolt for hell and get the 100 energy for the extra projectiles.

Lol rip, yea that might be the scariest part of the entire HC experience. I think I spent like 30 minutes on my amazon clearing that like one step at a time before baal.

I'm prolly gonna start a necro again tonight if you wanna try again. Gonna see about making this corpse explosion thing work and try some maps.

Can you up something after you slam it? Have 2 burizas. Think a multi socket one could be fun. 100% pierce means no razortail belt. Then yougo string of ears which solves life leech and adds dr.

I saw a guy slamming shaftstops and he upped all of them before doing so, so I assume you need to up first.

Where do you guys farm resist gear for hell
runs? Just started act 3 hell and it's really starting to be a problem having negative resist all around. And fuck those dolls and fetish guys right in their midget asses.

I use a smoke chest, spirit shield and a bunch of charms that covers almost all my resists for hell
