New Archon buffs
In Path of Exile 2, the Archon buff is a new mechanic based on a Sorceress passive skill that provides a powerful, but temporary, damage boost. It allows a caster to convert all of their elemental damage to a specific type and receive an accompanying bonus after meeting a condition, such as spending a portion of your mana.
How the Archon buff works
The Archon buff encourages "payoff" or "build-up" playstyles, where you use a normal skill rotation before unleashing the more powerful Archon-powered skills. For example:

- The effect: Once the condition is met, the caster converts all elemental damage to the chosen element (e.g., Lightning, Cold, or Fire) and receives a significant damage buff to that element.
- Activation:
- Lightning Archon: To activate the lightning version, you must spend 100% of your mana. The buff then lasts for about 15 seconds.
- Cold and Fire Archons: The activation conditions for the Cold and Fire Archon buffs have not yet been publicly revealed.

- As a Lightning Archon, you would cast spells until your mana pool is depleted, then gain the buff for a burst of increased damage.

Had to switch to the Steam client after 5 of those. At least Steam is using my full download speed too, the standalone download would've taken 3-4x as long to download just the patch compared to Steam doing the full game.

Yeah, steam is the way to go. Sometimes you have to restart it to get the patch right away, but Steam just works. Took like 5 min to download patch.
Make sure you guys go and merge your merchant stash tabs from POE1.

so i was in the grelwood playing a merc, my dps was pretty sad, just kind of rolling around adn shotgunning. i started an abyss event i guess and they flooed around me HARD. and in slow motion i saw an exalted orb fall on the other side of some logs . i tried to grab it but i was boxed in. no amount of rolling or watching my skill slowly refresh could save me. if only i had dashed sooner.
Playing Deadeye but man the early game is slooooooooow. Also never played a ranged before so no real clue what I'm doing. Been easy so far I guess but not even through A1 yet.

Saw a post on reddit saying you can't convert stash tabs that were converted from normal to premium, apparently they're fixing that but checked and every single of mine is like that, can't convert any of them(I apparently have 17 premium tabs). I think cause I bought a bunch before premium tabs were even a thing? Anyway yeah they posted they'll try to get a fix going next week.

FYI the Abyss can take place of a point of interest in certain acts, fucking you over. For instance I had an abyss take place over the Grim Tangle in Grelwood so it just didn't exist. Cleared the whole thing before I realized, then had to reset the zone and go find it.

Hadn't played this since last Xmas, and after a few hours remember why. Maps too big, game feels like shit to play in early game and after coming off Last Epochs recent season (a game I also have problems with), it looks like shit? I remembered this game looking better but it doesn't look great. Think this game just may not be for me!

Start Merc (believing 100 weapon swap points is ba-roken), swap bows because the early crossbow skills are donkey butter, every time I go to use an uncut skill gem the default menu is crossbow. I'm not wielding one. I don't have one in my weapon swap. None of my equipped skills are crossbow skills. That shit pissed me off last December and it's still like this.

I take it back a bit, as soon as I got scattershot / whatever other support for lightning arrow it became way better. Still not a fan of them shoving abyss events down my throat like every zone, but I did get a half decent bow from one.
Keep getting DCed when zoning though, so that sucks. Think I'm gonna call it a night and hop back on tomorrow......at the end of A1 now.

Its fun bot slow as fuck and not enough loot and crafting options. Leaving you with levels where youre holding dick in hand because you cant find a fucking weapon. It was the same back when it released. The bosses are really cool and well done IMO. More than just face tank and out DPS+heal. There is actual mechanics involved. Ive also been stuttering here and there, I dont think its my new PC because it shows a steady 150ish+ FPS, I think its either the servers shitting or whatever is going on. I turned off V sync and it helped but in some areas its really bad lag or some shit.
