That sounds reasonable on the surface, but it's also treating a symptom instead of the underlying problem.

While you're working on tackling the underlying problem and all the work that entails I'd still like to take a couple of aspirin. Metaphorically.

I am enjoying this shaman druid thing, but damn if it isn't pulling teeth to level on it. Might have to do something meta to shovel things into druid.
If you aren't following one of the guides, just equip essence drain and contagion and level like every other caster. It's stupid easy.

For those complaining about not getting weapon upgrades, you can literally just buy any old shit off a vendor while leveling and then quality it up to 20% and it will get you through the campaign no problem. Make it rare with 6 mods (which you should have enough currency to do easily). Make sure you are doing the good weapons for your build though. Like the chaos bow at level 50 or whatever it is is worse than the artillery bow as you want high phys on the poison builds.

Is there any way to see the DPS on my weapon like I can see it when I'm trying to buy something from the auction house?
If you use one of the trade macros when you inspect the weapon for trade it'll have the dps. The one I use for poe2 is exile exchange 2.

You could also math it out yourself - you just add up all the minimum damage numbers, add up all the maximum damage numbers, then add those two numbers together and divide that number by 2 to get the average damage, then multiply it by whatever the attack speed is.

Of course, that DPS doesn't factor in damage from a +skills mod so weight it accordingly.

Got a decent witch build that is pretty face tanky. ED/contagion, and self sploding skele archers while leveling. Doing SSF for now, but it is going much faster than shaman bear did so far.

Count Gooner was much easier this time around. Everything is, really. Using a skelly stick in the offhand for now. For spirit for archers and aura.

The guys I am playing with all made it to Maps in less than a day but I am super slow boating because A) work/life B) Maps are super boring as shit to me and once the campaign ends, I still enjoy playing but my interest dies off. I found this time, and I don't know if its because I have been through the campaign previously, I could access the market from the very beginning of the game to buy things, if not sell things. But as I Bear Shaman Druid, I have never not just rolled through the game, particularly after I started keeping up with my weapon to Trade level; Amazing what you can get for 1-2ex in every slot. Druid stuff (and by that I really mean pure phys Talisman) is more expensive since everyone seems to be playing them but at Interludes now, almost there now. I have had a lot of fun, cruised without issue and almost no deaths with Pounce, Furious Slam, Maul, and Furious Roar, with Fury of the Mountain mixed in. Rampage is supposed to be the bomb but it doesn't seems to be that great for me; I only have 61 Rage, I must not have something online yet at level 59.

99% of the people in this thread think using any currency on your items is retarded and should never be done. Thus, it being a way to get items to get through campaign is also retarded and should not be a thing.

NGL, I would rather spend an Exalt or two on the market for an item that has everything that I want than randomly try to craft something with a single affix that may or may be worth a damn. In .1 I would spend 5 or 6 Ex "crafting" and end up with nothing, meanwhile when I started trading you could buy so much better stuff for much much less. With the Orb of Alteration and Transmutation I will splerg out on flasks because who cares and they fall from the sky but anything else? I am buying not crafting until you can get MUCH more deterministic.

That time you waste sifting through shit on the AH to give yourself 1% more DPS isn't worth it. Grab a blue weapon off the vendor with the one important stat and move on. While leveling the best stat for most classes is weapon damage so it's not a random thing you are looking for.

Early in the league it might be worth it to check the AH for a good quick upgrade, but afterwards the low level item gets really depleted as most people are now mapping/trading and it won't take much longer than portaling to a few vendors.

Did zombiehawk get some bad meth?
Nah, I just assumed it carried over from PoE1. Maybe i'm wrong.

If you're slightly behind the curve, especially now that they put async trading in and in-game search etc. so it's a lot more convenient to buy some random rares, then sure. Whether you're randomly crafting a few bases as you drop them/buy blues on vendor or doing a quick search every few levels, the point was you get plenty of currency while leveling to upgrade your stuff.

Just check the guildbank really. A lot of us put our old gear there when we upgrade. Especially if youre leveling a druid you'll find some low to mid level 6 mod rares with full quality and double socketed. Move speed boots for each breakpoint as well.

Its delusional to think the vendors in a few campaign areas will be equal to what hundreds of thousands of players will be offering at their own merchants. The difference is overwhelmingly, hilariously, amazingly worth doing, from someone who was new to POE in POE2 launch. Not only do the quality of weapons offered on merchants decline as you advance into the campaign, what players offer for 1 EX dramatically improve as they don't typically sell terrible things,. Just like they sell the best seafood inland to get the best prices, you can get amazing gear for 1 Ex that blows away anything you can get on the merchant with a quick search. Now with the Trade System in-game, its seamless and painless.

I mean, play how you want but you are only hurting yourselves but not buying cheap best-in-class weapons and other gear as needed.
