Increased effect of non-curse auras in the presence of pinnacle bosses?

The wrath aura the combatant merc has is a level 40 wrath aura, so the base is utterly insane. Getting 100% and higher effect is not that difficult with the luminary node, eldritch implicits, corruptions etc.

Spent some cash and fixed the merc implicits a bit:

How are you getting level 40 wrath? I didn't think they were skill gems.

The wiki has their skill information mined from poedb. The merc wrath from a level 83 merc is using the level 40 normal gem numbers:

Oh, that's dumb. I thought merc level was supposed to scale some generic buff stats and gate gear they could equip. Gem levels makes incremental upgrades more important and explains why the 83 combatant was trashing my control blocks combatant.

This system is too powerful and only "balanced" by the clunk turning off players.

I picture Deathwing hard at work in a lab min maxxing PoE relentlessly, kinda looking like this:

It's definitely too powerful tho lol. No idea how they balance it and have it feel good. I guess the perceived downside is you need almost 2x the gear.

If something is going to be a little too good having it be the thing you have to double gear while specifically crafting items that no one would otherwise equip isn't the worst thing in the world. At the start of the league I was pretty sure they were OP but after diving in I'm now convinced they're so OP that crazy shit is going to keep coming up regularly even as nerfs start coming in. For GGG there's a lot of levers to pull and dials to turn in regards to balance. I don't expect a ton of nerfs next league, just some general power shaving but they're going to look entirely different next league start compared to this league start. Going in blind versus going in with a proper step by step guide in hand written by a turbo autist is completely different.

I'm not even doing anything that insane here. My wild strike setup is something like 25m dps but it's with a very unreasonable 950 ele dps sword etc. It's an interesting way to scale though having a dedicated aurabot to work with.

I do think the merc that can use inspiring cry is secretly beyond busted though. It's not difficult at all to get him to 100% warcry buff uptime with a lot of extra warcry effect which amounts to an absurd amount of flat phys added to the player.

How much flat would you estimate that wrath is adding? 50-2000?

Rallying Cry mercs were a thing during 3.26. The ones I remember were going for maximum clunk and combined them with retaliation skills :|
