Legend of Dragoon being available is a first in a long time

Legend of Dragoon is one of the best PS1 RPGs (which is saying a lot because PS1 has so many good ones). That, Chrono Cross, Suikoden 2, and Wild Arms 2 all seemed to drop on me within like a 2 month span in 2000 and I was completely spoiled by it to say the least. Four Final Fantasy main series games in 5 years was also pretty incredible. Nowadays we gotta wait 6 years between games in a particular series much less that level of cup runneth over. Well, here's hoping this is a small sign of a LoD remaster.

If you want to know why you shouldn’t buy this piece of shit, aside from ALL the other reasons given, it’s because most of this video ACG pulled is from marketing videos. In it, they show elite dangerous clips - Which is impossible because they cancelled all console development of the game and it never worked with PSVR1 much less PSVR2 ever even being possible on the roadmap. The graphical outlay presented is absolute horseshit and NOT EVEN CLOSE to what one would see in the set.

They literally show a game that CANNOT be played on the system nor ever will be.

Holy fucking false advertisement.

VR is gay until it reaches holodeck tech level.

Yeah, call me when VR means I can go into the holodeck and have a life-like pillow fight with those 3 super-perfect blondes that AI created

Bah mine is still stuck preparing to ship. Also their website sucks for looking up orders.

Looking forward to doing some RE and other horror games.

I gave No Man's Sky a try on PSVR1 but the graphics were worse than PS2. Hopefully they'll update it for PSVR2.

Real nice feature is that theater mode now supports 4k 120hz HDR to play 2d games and watch media.

Yeah PSVR1 graphics were really bad, surprised I haven't seen more people talk about it. I tried playing a few PS4 games on it like Bloodborne. It was basically like playing a game on a theater screen while sitting in an empty theater, which is kind of cool (and useful if you don't have a TV). However, the graphics of the game were significantly downgraded. Looked like late-era PS2 (Shadow of the Colossus) visuals.

You should buy a Quest 2. Player no man’s sky streaming from steam VR and actually walking around wirelessly was cool as shit.

I get it but that type of stuff irks the crap out of me.

The real issue is it's probably going to be another expensive gimmick with 1 awesome game that makes you buy it expecting that to be the norm and then jack shit worthwhile comes out and you just spend $550 for one game.

Just like the original the original Wii sold a lot of Wii Sports machines and PSVR was pretty much Resident Evil 7

The main question is how does it handle pron? During the period in time when pornhub did the free month thing, a buddy brought his Quest into work and showed off some VR capabilities. Another guy went out and bought a quest the next day. Sadly we haven't seen him since.

There were games that looked pretty good. RE of course (especially the small indoor areas), and even Robinson's journey. But watching 3d movies or playing non PSVR PS games on it yeah you could tell the display was very sub-par.

How are the visuals on this PSVR2 compared to the first or playing on a TV?

Did they get rid of the complete mess of cords?

TBH I don't think VR is even appealing until it goes full wireless. PSVR1 was such a jumble of wires that it became a chore to even set up. I returned mine after a week or so, enjoyed playing Thumper, Until Dawn, and Eagle Flight but that's about it. Doom VFR was like an hour long and Wolfenstein Cyberpilot is something I'd love to never play again. Whose idea was it to start a VR game with your character sitting in a chair that you can't get up from until you press the right button in a chamber full of buttons? Eventually you find the right button and the game lets you actually move around / play. In the meantime, the game made me nauseous on minute one because I couldn't fuckin' move or do anything and it never really recovered.

Resolution increase is about 4x per eye. Single cord now, no break out box, uses the front USB-C connector. Another solid feature is the physical adjustment for the distance between your eyes. On the 1st gen I had to recalibrate it after any of my kids played it. Honestly if they patch Hitman 3 to have updated VR support I will get enough hours out of that to make it worthwhile.

Kids loved playing with it, but it was such a pain in the ass to have to set up every time.

The lack of 2.1 HDMI passthrough was fucking ass so had to re-do everything every time, turn it on seperately, calibrate the camera, then log in the fucking controllers instead of just turning them on which is the dumbest fucking thing ever.

Pissed off just thinking about how fucking stupid all that was

Played the shit out of VR2 today. Gran Turismo is pretty awesome. Resident Evil plays really well, although I opted for the smooth turning option, which game me just a tinge of motion sickness. Not full out nausea, but that dry mouth beginning stage. Also got the demos for Horizon and Star Wars. Star Wars was fun, but Horizon was next level. Wasn't originally planning on getting it, but the demo might've changed my mind.
