Dunno if it's just a Canadian thing, but what do pet stores look for in potential cat owners ?
My mother went to a 'Pet Valu' store to looky loo because they got in a cute cat, but she said a lady was there complaining that they refused to let her adopt it because she already has two old cats and an old dog, so it would be a "bad environment" for a young cat.
The lady also told her a man was refused a cat adoption while she was there the first time, because the staff told the man they don't believe that he's a good fit. Every cat I've known just lies around mostly, is there really a need to be that stringent ? I'm considering walking in there with a MAGA hat to see if they call the police.
