I am doing the Explorer's Challenge at 50% xp or whatever. Taking my sweet time here and will enjoy all of the new stuff they put in for us to discover. The first week is always madness and the starting areas will be crowded AF. I expect the first week will be me getting my addons fine tuned, and leveling up fishing or something I can do without competition.

Rogues were really the only universally shitty class in TBC. Every other class had at least one really good/solid spec. Rogue's best spec is really just "mid". They were really good for arenas though.

TBC balance was one of the best eras of the game in pretty much every class having a really good/solid spec.

PVP is gay as fuck outside of dicking around in world pvp from time to time. It was always gay as fuck. Rogues got to be good at that at least. I remember the Cloak of Skill thing.

Vanilla was Warrior or healer, your only two choices.

TBC added warlocks as a DPS option i think, again never played it myself but that was the consensus I've heard.

It wasn't until WOTLK that someone at blizzard realized that every single class should exist for a reason and not just be a worse version of a ______, ie the hybrid penalties that classes had in Vanilla that lingered into TBC, were actually addressed. Those were of course hold overs from the EQ design days

Same. Since I'm literally just killing time on here until BB or Rexxar comes out, no reason to rush into end-game.

Hope Arenas are not forced for PVP advancement. I think they were the worst thing to happen to WoW.

They have a lot of QOL enhancements to it. From what I read getting High Warlord is a flat 100k honorable PVP kills.

I did say worst also... lol

bbuuuuttt..... /that is/ how that was meant to be (maybe not day+ long, but it was meant to be a long 'war' with tons of little battles in the overall war)- it was not meant to be a zerg fest to the enemy boss, it was meant to be a war, where tactics and skill mattered as did numbers and communication etc.

I also played on a PVP server (I think... Thunderlord?) so, you didnt really get random drop in that had no idea how to pvp, everyone did to at least a medium of skill to survive there in classic land.

But now that I am old...just like EQ raiding...whew...no thanks, but it was great when I was young - and perhaps I just want these things for the new kids to enjoy!

AV was just an ends to a mean. If they removed PVP gear from a vendor that was tied to honor, battlegrounds for the most part would be dead empty.

LMK how well the Holy Water thing works. Should be a nice QOL to just have some extra dmg vs undead while leveling. If its not better than wanding though RIP.

The only thing I can think of is hopefully it's an additional AOE damage source against undead besides Holy Nova. But we'll see.
