I never really understood how GDKP helped anyone other than whoever had the most gold.

around the 1:04 mark they are talking about multiboxing = bad and aparently they dont want you to have a second account with a character in org for example , that your main account trades items to to sell in town/at the ah , im struggling to see how this is a bad thing that anyone cares about, can someone enlighten me,
No idea. But they have a discord that the devs are highly active on. Jump on and ask them.

At its most generous it allows bads to convert time in open world activities to raid gear. In reality it benefits foreign gold farmers.

I mean if your a good player and have some gear already you can go do a raid once a week your don't care about and earn a bunch of gold, I always liked gdkp, it's a good system, for your time you either get gold or items, instead of a normal raid where you most of the time just get nothing

Ok sure. But you allow people who have lots of gold by being sweaty, being a goblin on the AH, or simply buying it from Chinese farmers, to do whatever here. I can see why people like Asmongold simp for it because he has unbelievable amounts of gold at his disposal at any given time.

Having guild leadership be faggots about loot and the associated drama is bread and butter in this genre. I wouldn't trust them to actually honestly split gold for a single fucking second. In any guild. This goes beyond just being petty thieves, I don't trust their napkin math either.

This guy's video showed something that not on the site. The Sepulcher in Silverpine has its own faction. For, presumably, doing shit in the area. I appreciate that they seemed to have taken a lot of time in adding in "gap" gear such that you have more avenues to find level appropriate items.

What I gather from this is that many of the leveling hubs will have their own faction rewards. Unique faction for that leveling hub.

There is also some AOE cap to prevent the Mage gayness.

Ok so of the things not fully documented in terms of player experience:
  • No multiboxxing
  • No GDKP
  • No Mage AOE exploiting.
  • No world buffs in raids (thank God)
  • Leveling hub reputation gear to some extent.

How is mage (I assume blizzard AoE) exploiting?

IDK the exact details but you can see vids of it on Youtube. Mage blinks into unattackable spot and aoes dungeon down for XP. Alternatively the honest way of it is just dungeon AOEing without doing that. But still creates a AOE grind meta they want to avoid. There's a cap so that AOE only works on up to X mobs so this isn't any more efficient than just doing it the regular way.

Also mobs have custom abilities that may screw up aoe'ing. Things like charge / stuns / interupts. Things that wouldn't be lethal 1v1 or in a group, but when there are 10 of them on you.....

The devs have definitely got a severe dislike of the normal "exploitative" game play strategies.

Most common AE offender is SM where the pathing is easily exploitable with standing on the fountain areas. Basically see very few "real" SM groups and its only AE bs

Why would you say this? Pally and Druid tanks are a thing.
Because if they're slapping/limiting AoE, Paladins and Druids don't really bring anything over a Warrior as a tank?

TBC era balancing was the "breakout" of the AoE tanking style that Paladins really shined at and Druid to a lesser extent as well.

AoE limits begin after 10 targets. If you're trying to "tank" more than that, get an off-tank.

So Warriors are the only tank meta? Sounds brilliant.
Bear and Paladin tanks are heavily supported. Even Shaman tanks have minor support (not viable in end game though).

Classic era it won't matter as much (some of the later ones like Strat, Scholomance, Mauradon, etc. might be rough), but there are so many TBC+ era dungeons that are going to be an absolute borefest with this limit in place. All of Coilfang will suck, Botanica and Mechanar will suck. Pretty much the Auchindoun and Hellfire Citadel dungeons will be the only ones tolerable.

TBC content isn't even on the horizon for this. They are just using TBC era class balancing.
