I had thought warrior was relatively untouched compared to TWOW's warrior.
So I rolled one and I did notice DPS classes doing things around me at 1-2 lower levels than me and not coming near death. I'm beaten to an inch of life per mob, and the risk is always there, like you said.
Does this get better as we get more kit? Seriously considering a reroll because that type of gameplay loop for 20-60 is something I'd consider unfun. I don't expect warrior to behave like a level 40 Rogue sustain build right out of the gate swinging from mob to mob and healing/doing massive dmg, but being beaten to an inch of life per mob while other DPS specs race through content isn't exactly it either.

Man, I hope it gets better. I'm definitely better geared than average and I have to fight mobs 2 levels lower or else.

Embarrassing while questing also. Had this shaman duo with me clearing to an objective in Barrens, and it was clear he was doing 90% of the work and my "tanking" and participation was completely unnecessary. Me getting beaten to an inch of life seemed to not really add much. The shaman would just go ahead of me and start burning shit down and take less damage and kill faster than if I stuck my face in there. Felt like me even pretending I'm doing something was a distraction to his greatness and subtracting from the team. I sheepishly thanked him for the carry afterward since he essentially did the quest for me.
Indeed hope it gets better, because I was told TWOW's warrior was the nerfed one, and it's been a bit of a face slap so far on Epoch.

My memory might be bad, but I don’t remember it being this harsh. Jay is right about the grouping thing. I was with a Shaman for 5 quests and he definitely did two thirds of the damage and didn’t get hurt, despite being a leather class.

1-20 was always the weed-out levels for warriors. Once they hit 20 and can dungeon spam, they start their real power curve. And yes, at 40-60 they become the machines we all remember.

uh guys you understand this is TBC balance right? This isn't vanilla warriors. iirc warriors got punished for their vanilla god mode for pretty much the rest of the game from TBC on. They are better in WOTLK but they never reclaimed the glory they held in classic. I kept saying over and over you need to understand just because you are limited to kalimdor and eastern kingdoms does not make this vanilla.
If you rolled a warrior for any purpose other than to be a tank in epoch/tbc then you prolly should think about rerolling
