Yeah I finally got everything working except full screen is still really windowed mode, but I only see a sliver of the top bar and I am able to alt tab freely so it works out fine. I basically just did the opposite of what the guide said lol.

If anyone else is trying to get started and isn't familiar with emus, like me I never played any emu until thj and that was idiot proof setup, here is how to do it:

Step 1: join the quarm discord linked in the first post of this thread, you'll need some files from there. Also there's steps there under account creation tab you need to follow to create an takp forum and then login account.

Note: download all these zips to wherever, my downloads, my documents, new folder (87) on your desktop, whatev.

Step 2: go here and download the 2.2 client (about half way down the page, #2 under download the client)

Step 3: download quarmpatcher.zip from the quarm discord under server files tab.

Step 4: download zeal from Release v1.3.4 · CoastalRedwood/Zeal

Step 4: Unzip the TAKP PC V2.2 client directly to your c: drive (not program files or program files 86 or anything, it should be like C:>TAKPv2.2 or some shit when it unzips.

Step 5: unzip quarmpatcher.zip to your desktop. This will create a folder called QuarmPatcher on your desktop. Open this folder and cut/copy all the files directly into your TAKPv2.2 folder, NOT any of the sub folders such as uifiles, help, SpellEffects, etc.

Step 6: unzip zeal to your desktop. This will create a folder called zeal_v1.3.4_72f16a1 on your desktop. Open this folder and cut/copy the 3 files zeal.asi, zeal.pdb, and zeal_Readme.md directly into the same TAKPv2.2 folder. Go back to your zeal folder on the desktop and you will see a subfolder called uifiles, open that folder and there's another subfolder called Zeal. Cut/Copy this folder and go back to your TAKPv2.2 install, open uifiles and drop the zeal subfolder into the uifiles subfolder, you should see other subfolders in here like default, duxaUI, nemesis, etc. this is where Zeal folder goes.

Step 7: in the TAKPv2.2 main install folder search for eqclient.ini file, a configuration file. open this with a text editor and scroll down til you see [video mode] and just below this you will see your resolution settings, type in your desired resolution in the Width=X and height=X fields and then save the file.

Step 8: in the TAKPv2.2 main install folder search for eqemupatcher.exe (application file). Send a shortcut for this app to your desktop or wherever you want your shortcut to be, this is how you will start the client. run this application, patch the game (you can check autopatch so it does this automatically), when done, click play (likewise there's an autoplay check box if you want).

There you go.

Any of y'all still playing this? Been hitting the 1200 cap the last few days since I guess luclin raids came out or about to come out or something idk.

I'mup to lvl 20 on the beastlord dicking around in kunark cus I can't afford a port to luclin and I dont really know my way around even if I did manage one. Couple of folks have hooked me up, got 25 pp at lvl 5 (unspent cus i had no way to bazaar) and someone else hooked me up with some newbie weapons which helped immensely. I truly forgot how shitty quests were in eq, by the time you can actually get the drops shits all green and you've found better items off of vendors but I've done most of the newbie cabilis quests.

I figured out how to get a trader alt to bazaar (made an elf and ran to the spires in greater faydark, died a few times to the roaming orc centurion but eventually made it with help from some others also waiting on the port.) Only to learn you really can't buy shit with now 40pp

if you see "deadthings" online i can hook up your trader with some more PP , also you should bring your level 20 to nexus , then go to plaudal caverns

I don't have invis or anything I don't think I can make it through to Dreadlands spires at 20 which is why i'm just exping in kunark

edit: Thanks to BigDirty I was able to finish up my gear slots with a pair of earrings, now i'm trying to setup a 2nd account to do the offline trader thing, of course server goes down just as i'm doing it

pay for someone to pick you up in field of bone , then bind you in nexus
