Melee builds for the most part are stronger than caster. Pretty much any build can beat all the content. Anything with SK, Pally or one of the Priest classes is probably easier for a first timer.

Yeah..... With all the automation baked into this client, it will never attract massive hordes of neckbeards. Most of the folks playing EQ legends aren't going to hop on server with openly accepted cheating. I just say that to emphasize that its not a threat to Daybreak and It wouldn't be worth the legal fees to take anymore action than they already have,

Yea, I farm sleepe/seru regularly and I can do all of time it’s just it is a bit of a challenge. I am genuinely curious how non-tank people handle stuff like zeb. I’m aware of proc locker, heal augs, lifetap weapons etc. but without decent AC and shielding it’s just brutal. So would love to see pure dot build handle it

my pure melee build struggles for the same reason, just not enough heal For the top zeb level type stuff. But I do agree, you can do 99% of the game with any combo at the moment.

Since some folks are calling me a moron i need to elaborate. I personally enjoy Triune. I think all the LUA scripts they are providing are awesome. That said, a server with augs going for millions of plat is never going to enjoy a large sustained playerbase. It will be just like any of the other Crackhead+claude built emus. I am personally happy about that. I would rather not play with 6000 retards bitching about their pets not being OP enough.

Alright, I'm leveling up a Rogue/Enchanter/Monk. If you have any gear rotting away that would help me, feel free to sent it to Dazzlewhiz. I'm level 14 currently...not taking this seriously at all. Just like the idea of soloing PoP and it sounds like Legends won't be doing that expansion.

With the changes possibly coming to Doppleganger, that might be a pretty good dps as a second box, but with no real way to heal, outside of long cooldown mend and weapon procs, it will be rough solo. Boxing is real easy though as they have a custom built boxing/bot program called Autocombat on their discord. Even the most novice of players should be able to figure it out.

Yeah, I had a few character concepts I wanted to try out and they're not really optimal in that regard. Once I unlock an expansion, it's unlocked for my whole account, right? Maybe if I have trouble with Naggy/Vox, I'll consider something else. I don't mind a challenge, though...unless someone tells me it's literally impossible on this server.

With the current gear available to buy (plane of time), only the custom bosses (Seru+4 & Zeb) and maybe some of the last bosses in Time could be impossible w/o some kind of self sustain (probably). If you were doing solo self found, it might be another story on how far you could progress though. If you really got into botting for gold or just take the time to farm shielding Augs from sleeper, you may be able to get Quarm in PoTime. It's hard to say.

As for unlocks, yeah, they are account wide and using 1 account for alts means you will get more bonus AA XP. All toons get bonus AA XP until 500 AA, but then it adds the total AA of all accounts over 500 to give a bonus until alts are caught up (it's a bit more complicated, but don't remember the exact math).

Man never tried it, but back on THJ enchanter was supposed to be a viable healer with Runes. Runes benefit from heal power unlike vanilla. Sounds super awkward though.

Edit: I dont have a toon to test it on, but runes might even fire off sympathetic heals.

On THJ someone did SSF to Zeb kill as War/Monk/Rogue, losing Warrior for enchanter definitely makes it a weaker end game comp. It would be difficult/time consuming but it's possible. I think Zeb(final custom boss) is the only thing you couldn't do. I can't imagine that comp will be enjoyable to play once you get to Emp Ssra though.

Plenty of good starter gear for super cheap on the bazaar.

I'm retarded and can't figure how to get offline trader mode to work. Isnt it supposed to log me out as soon as I click it and click yes?

Click the offline trader button. Then turn trader off, You should get DCed and it will put you in offline trader mode.

I'm considering dropping Monk for Ranger, so Rogue/Enchanter/Ranger. I'm not sure if that makes the combination better...it does give access to crappy Ranger healing, I guess.

If you haven't turned green ring and NPCs on on the map, do that. If you do switch to ranger your green ring will swallow most of the map after 50. Definitely makes farming in outdoors zones a lot easier.

I can't see anything in Options or on the map to turn this on. I use it on Legends, so I was looking for it here...probably overlooking something.

If you want showEQ type seeing all npcs on the map, you can download the E3 edition of MQ linked on the Discord, which is listed in it's own set of channels called "MQ2best" below the Auto-combat set of channels. There is a lot of duplication between the MQ-E3 download and the Auto-Combat download, but they can all go into the same base MQ folder so they pull from the same base MQ files (zone mesh/maps are the data hogs).

In order to autoload both on game startup, you also need to text edit ingame.cfg in the config folder to have both "/lua run triune" and "/mono e3" on separate lines. Comparing both the files included with each download should make this fairly evident on what to do.

It does have an annoyance of getting duplicate names of mobs when they get close to you though. I don't know enough about MQ to be able to fix it, so I usually just turn off labels unless looking for specific mobs in the zone (which I first search for in MQ with /who NPC *mob name*).

I've run both MQE3 and Autocombat for almost the entire time and it's been mostly fine.

Auto-Combat has been much easier to use and learn, but it looks like at least one dude in discord is trying to get E3 to be as good or better. From E3 I use the mod that Autobuys AA and levels up items in the power slot. Looks like the dude developed an auto tradeskill mod too, that works more intelligently than the base MQ auto combine macro included with MQ. I've only used the combine macro, which just auto combines until you run out of mats..

/pt turns on the pop out map that's part of the game.

Also in the standard in game map, you can toggle layer "2" on and off. This shows NPCs in the THJ style map that EQLegends copied.
