The two best Muppet moves are hands down Muppet Treasure Island and Muppet Christmas Carol. In both there was one human actor and muppets. Both worked, but for opposite reasons.
Muppet Christmas Carol worked because Michael Caine played the role serious as a heart attack, and treated the muppets as other experienced thespians.
Muppet Treasure Island worked because Tim Curry decided to play it like he was one of the muppets.

It's ok to have the opinion that Rocky Horror was fun in the 80s.Haus you have that right, but I was 16 when RHPS was part of the midnight matinee in Spring, TX. They played that, then The Wall (Pink Floyd) for the hard-core druggies. Smoke a joint and watch Rocky Horror. If you dropped a tab, The Wall was just what the doctor ordered.

Many a weekend night for me in the mid to late 80's was spent hitting one of the two local RHPS shows (there were three for a VERY short time). Lived in an apartment next door to some folks who were in cast at one of them. Very fun folks.

Never got into RHPS. Only sort of saw it once, and it was on video in an apartment. Made no sense but I was assured by the older peeps there it was an experience in a movie theater. TC for me was Pennywise. That goddamn book scared the ever living shit out of me and seeing the made for TV movie brought it all back.
