I bought the edition with 50 free dudes. Are there any standouts I should try to unlock of the ones remaining?

Some tips.

-If your defensive round is a 1v1 at the last 15 seconds and there is a standoff with the final enemy just play the clock for the win. So many games are lost by thoughtless ego challenging!

-Use a headset, your ears will tell you more than your eyes when sneaking or waiting for a breach. Callouts win games!

-Hold your angles and don't make rash decisions, this is a game of patience.

-Don't hold the same angle as someone else for too long you are both sitting ducks.

-Stairwells are your friends, you can get across the map using them for those stealthy flanks if you're roaming off site.

-Set up your weapons! ALL Attackers have ACOG scopes. ALL automatic guns should have the flash hider and vertical grip enabled for less recoil. Only a few Defenders like frost have ACOG scopes.

-Hide your drone on the attack phase once you have found the objective, drone cams win games.

-If the attack phase is not going well and you cant get inside, just move to another window or hatch and breach there. Don't throw your life away on an bunkered down area.

-If you are playing Kapkan, place your traps on the BOTTOM of the doorway. They are harder to see that way and won't get destroyed by a stray bullet in a gunfight.

*SOME OPERATORS ARE BETTER FOR SOME MAPS THAN OTHERS*

For attack:

Finka, Ace, Gridlock, Osa, Brava, Maverick, Jackal, Zofia, Dokkaebi. Black Beard just got an OP rework so he is usually banned in ranked right now.

For Defense: Kapkan, Melusi, Thorn, Frost, Alibi, Goyo, Azami, Tubarao, Valkyrie, Caviera, Kaid is very good too.

I'll redownload this once SX comes out but im almost certain the things that made me stop playing will still be there lol
The jackal change is a good step though, but there are still 25+ more operators than they ever needed, the game is so bloated

Thanks!

it sounds like there’s a lot of shit to learn. I won’t have much chance this week but look forward to diving in!

I’ll definitely put on some headphones I have. I rarely ever use them for games but people say they’re too good in games like this.

Jackie Treehorn Jackie Treehorn how is the Sieging going for you?
I only had the chance to play literally 1 game last week, haven’t even turned my gaming PC on since last Tuesday. At a wedding this weekend and been otherwise busy but I’ll be home tomorrow evening so maybe more of a chance to try it then.

Seems cool though! It was obviously confusing as hell not know where to set up, how almost any of the gadgets work, and so on. But it seemed like I was also being matched with other new people so that’s cool.

I still gotta get all the guns set up like you said too.

Better update now as I've put some hours into this game.

I was doing fuck all for a while. Then more started to click about strategy. I've had some 7-8 kill games. I went from going 0 kills to maybe 1 or 2 (and I still get that sometimes) but I now more consistently get 2-5 kills.

The biggest change I made was lowering my mouse DPI way down and I shot up in kills.

I went from getting no commendations to getting a couple of streaks. Mind you this is all in unranked, I'm like level 42 or whatever it's called now, can't even play ranked until 50.

This is a really well designed game, shame I didn't ever try it years ago. Gameplay loop is really satisfying.

I would still wait until after reaching 50 before starting ranked. Knowing these maps inside and out is key to pulling off wins when you are out numbered. You can win a 3v1 if you can out navigate the other team.

Oh yah I believe that. There’s still so much I don’t know. I’m still not even vaguely to the point where I know what everyone does and how all the gadgets work.
