The 1982 one, I didn't even know it was a remake.
I thought it was from the 60s. It's actually older than I thought.

The Daniel Craig trilogy of Bond films is so good. Genuinely love Casino Royale - Skyfall. We made it a movie night last night and continued with our Daniel Craig 007 movies in Quantum of Solace. This movie was all action due to a writers strike but was still a decent flick. Beautifully shot (even the parts that were supposed to be Haiti. Oona Chaplin (of I'm all nekkid GoT fame) made anuncreditedappearance at the end. 7.5/10

Quantum of Solace

Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M interrogate Mr. White, who reveals that the organization that blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.www.themoviedb.org
On a related note, I told my wife that I am scared of what Amazon is going to do with the 007 franchise as they did so well with Lord of the Rings.
I watched the first one earlier this year, but for the life of me, I really don't remember much about it other than Ethan Hawke wearing a creepy mask and a ghost phone.Black Phone 2
From the trailer it reminded me of A Nightmare on Elm Street and it wouldn't have taken a whole lot to have turned this script in to another one of those. Overall it's fine but it's too long. Once it gets up to speed in the second half it's decent with some solidly fucked up shit but the first fifty minutes are just dull. You cut the 110+ minute runtime down to it's best 90 minutes and it would have been pretty good. I saw this at home. As a theater experience this would have been terrible but I didn't do that so it's a C+. Someone less familiar with movies in which a supernatural slasher gains power from his victims that he uses to come at you in your dreams might like it a bit more but this isn't my first rodeo.

How was it compared to the first one?
I don’t remember Joe Hill writing a follow up to Black Phone so I’m guessing this one is all original? I wasn’t super impressed with the 1st movie but would still give a sequel a shot.
