Just finished Society of the Snow. Newest version of Alive.

I remember reading the book back in 8th grade and I think the 90s version with Ethan Hawke came out pretty close to that time, and it's a pretty faithful. This one's a little grittier, but extremely well shot, and for it being a foreign film and just being difficult to tell who is what person for a bit, by the end it really pulls on your heartstrings. It's probably a more faithful adaptation than the 90s version.

I thought it was a very good rendition, not a fun movie by any stretch of the imagination, but a great movie nonetheless.

Flight Risk with Marky Mark.

Holy shit is this bad. Marky Mark amd Mel Gibson directing. How could this be bad, you say? Trust me. This movie has all th earmarks of Walberg and Gibson having one final film due on a 3 film contract and they both just want to get it done so they can go do something better.

Avoid this film like you would avoid a jogger coming toward you on the sidewalk.

Too late, watched it a bit ago, and I don't really remember anything, so I guess that's a plus.

Just watch it on Stremio with the torrentio plug in.

Or use www.goku.sx
Was just catching up on this thread, and wanted to highlight your post. My brother-in-law had shown us Stremio earlier this year and I was just like whatever (I usenet everything). But we got it going this week and holy shit is it awesome.

It's like Plex and torrenting in one without any of the work, or having to store anything. I'm still going to keep my usenet stuff for music, but I'm about ready to purge my libraries and free up tons of hard drive space.

Just finished The Cursed, not a bad little horror movie. Chanur Chanur you may have suggested it, don't remember, but it's in your wheelhouse. Runs a little long but pretty solid but different enough to be entertaining.

Not sure if it was me but it's definitely a solid flick. Pretty sure I own it.

Wife wanted to watch Bride Hard (2025)

Rebel Wilson, 45 years old, 5'4" as an intelligent officer kicking asses of men who are 200 lbs and 25 years younger than her lol.

But it has Anna Chumsky in it, and she is hilarious in Veep.

edit: just finished. Had some all star cast but overall a 4/10 movie.

You should have watched Spy Hard with Leslie Nielsen. I guarantee you it would have been a better time, I know what I made your wife realize what true hilarity is. Sometimes they must be shown the way like when I made my wife watch both Airplane movies back to back. Women just don't know what's funny most of the time.

I do love Leslie Neilson and tbh, half way through the movie she was just on her computer holiday shopping lol, I don’t even think she noticed when it was over.

Did you see the Naked Gun reboot?

She has a new Christmas romcom that just came out with Kiefer Sutherland. Can only imagine how bad that movie is.

I'll let you know.

She likes good comedy as well as the Rebel Wilson stuff. We go see standup every week during the summers and she's a fan of Joe List, Nate Bergatze, Jeff Dye, etc. But, she also watches every new Amy Schumer and Rebel Wilson movie. So, I will most likely be watching that one, too, lol. At least we don't watch anything with SJW themes. I much prefer comedies with Kristen Wiig, Rose Byrne, Aubrey Hepburn, Katherine Han if I get to choose.

I mean, I watch my share of bad movies, don't get me wrong. I unironically watched (and enjoyed) Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century DCOM this last weekend. I have two wolves inside me: one that likes high octane action movies and another that likes really mind-numbingly dumb movies. So, more acurrately, I have a wolf inside me, and then a golden retriever, and I feed them both.
