Cops label it an "altercation", the lawyers laugh the neighbor out of their offices, and Alan is already documented as handling the situation as well as he could. Nothing is gained by being vindictive unless the neighbor has a laundry list of other shit the community would love for a court to address.

He did hold the shithead neighbor accountable. He put him in his place with his fists with the added bonus of it being recorded and getting national attention.

Ritchson acted in self-defense. No criminal charges were filed against him. A potential reckless endangerment charge against Taylor was considered but not pursued because Ritchson declined. The case was closed with the agreement of the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office
