I hope they never make a resident evil movie up to your standards and they give the IP to Lena Dunham

I really didn’t hate this as much as this thread prepared me for. As a horror comedy it was fine. Cracked me up a few times. Everything is nonsense, a few cool monsters. Just about what you expect out of it. As a Resident Evil movie? Yeah, pretty bad. Not Paul W.S. Anderson bad, more not living up to Zach Creggor expectation bad. Putting his name + Resident Evil should have been a great marriage, but instead it is this odd genre mash up. Unknown Director and generic horror title and I think it would have been better received.

Yeah I'm going in hoping for a zombie horror comedy and not a Resident Evil flick. Hope I'll enjoy it.

Worth the torrent with the wife, 7/10. Yes it's schlock but kept our interest.

It was silly fun, really didn't need to be called resident evil. Also didn't feel like his other films. Had no issues with the kid like others did, he's been a decent upcoming actor

This had good elements for a horror film but was lacking overall. Because he was a solo and it started out in the boonies there were no stakes for the first half. It's a six segment film and the first three should have caused a Nope I'm out, then the fourth is "the Resident Evil tie-in situation" to force him to continue to the last two.

Better individual scenes in the first half, then better overall threat for the second. Ending ties in to the lack of stakes needed some kind of pay off.

It made a shit ton of money in the theater.

This was actually pretty good. The end was the weakest part for me but otherwise pretty entertaining and beautifully shot.
