will that difference really matter in an action rpg
Huge difference to me. The one on the right isn't awful but the silky smooth 60fps is much more enjoyable. Gameplay wise it doesn't matter. Dark Souls animations are so slow my problem with timing was always reacting too quick. I had to learn to see "Oh this dick is about to thrust, I better wait for 200ms then react..."

Tbh the only change that matters and is the most important is the fact it has dual audio. The voice acting on the US version is fairly fucking shit. I really hope they do what Square did with LR from now on and have a free DLC with the japanese audio tracks. I can understand why that shit isn't on disc due to the size(fucking LR download was 4.6gb) but it's really fucking annoying when it's not available at all. Tales of Xillia had ok voice acting for the most part but anything that uses anime design sounds so wrong to me if it's voiced in english, same way I fucking hate watching dubbed TV shows in here vs the original US versions.

The black outlines change doesn't bother me much, looks better on some stuff, worse on other. Like Lloyd doesn't "pop" as much, but it looks much better on the blonde/white character to not have the outlines imo.
Yeah, HD & Uncompressed audio tracks can be especially huge too. It's totally understandable. Though, there's also some retarded shit with licensing issues sometimes I believe, I'm not sure why. I actually don't mind the ToS NA voices though.

The black lines going away isn't a huge deal, but I do think the game lost some of its artistic style with them being removed.

Btw, if anyone actually can't see the difference in the gif - it may be your browser. 60 fps gifs actually don't work on some of them, pretty big thread on gaf about it. Also, some people need to cover one and then cover the other one while watching them.

Really though no visual internet tests compares to actually playing a game and seeing the difference. Dark Souls with DSFix is a great example of where it's easy to do and readily apparent.

Using a Gif to compare FPS is a bit disingenuous as Gif's dont use frames per second but frame delay. Frame delay limits also vary from browser to browser. If you really want to make a comparison between the different frame rates capture your video and play it back via HTML5 video player at double speed. There are a few youtube game play videos out there in 60 fps but you need to opt in to use their HTML5 player.

People who are as blatantly stupid and mentally handicapped as Lodor and joeboo deserve nothing but spite. I have no tolerance for such levels of stupidity and neither should anyone else. It has nothing to do with seeing eye to eye, it's about idiots who are unable accept obviousfactsas reality.

Graces f and Xillia didn't run at 60 fps either. Both games had pretty serious framerate drops during combat. Obviously 60 fps is preferred, but if it wasn't a huge handicap in either of those games, will it really matter in Symphonia?

Kotaku said last fall that Symphonia would have dual audio. Should be on the disc, unlike LR--which didn't even make sense since LR didn't even come close to filling up a single layer blu-ray. Not that I care anyway; a game has to have Xenoblade levels of awful voice acting to get me to switch languages.

It's not a matter of it being a "Handicap", it's a matter of it being objectively better at 60 FPS. Does 30 fps work? Yes, it works, it's adequate, but it isneverpreferred and a remastered version of a game on a much more powerful machine should never have its FPS drop from 60 to 30. That's laziness and incompetence. No one should ever just brush off a FPS drop that big. There's no excuse for it and no one should ever say "oh well 30 fps is good enough!" Symphonia has relatively simplistic graphics too making the downgrade all the more idiotic.

The fps at 30 is a bummer but not a killer. It is noticeable in the intro screen which isn't a good sign.

I like the graphics without the heavy black lines. I think it looks cleaner.

Shouldn't make a huge difference in combat except for heavy spell usage which if I remember correctly sucked a bit even with 60fps.
