I wonder how big they will get.

Who's cutting onions in here? There's something incredibly satisfying to me about us going "fuck you" to entropy.

Granted - this isn't a perfect 1:1 match for dire wolves; they only took a gray wolf and modified about 20 of the genes they thought were the most important. But it's a cool first step.

Kind of crazy that he was injecting himself with snake venom to give himself more immunity and it turns out the antibodies he developed may be able to help thousands of people survive snakebites in the future

We had this guy down in South Florida. I went to his place a couple of times as a kid. Guy deals with venomous snakes his whole life and lives to the age of 100.

CRISPR causes so many off target effects, kids gonna have an interesting life. But I guess if it was a lethal condition thats a tradeoff worth making.

What really grinds my gears is that they used that absolutely faggot-infested word "bespoke" in the summary. Customized works just fine here. Bespoke is like utilize: if intentionally you use either word you need a punch right in the fucking face.

This morning I'm here to share some actually important science

Most of these arent really widely believed, but the dehydration myth is.
Our data shows no significant differences in the hydrating properties of coffee or water across a wide range of hydration assessment indices

I enjoy that they debunked it with both an experiment and with the obvious statement that should have immediately shut down this objection the first time it was raised
This makes sense when you realize that coffee, while caffeinated, is mostly water, which outweighs the relatively mild effect of the caffeine.

I'm sharing this for the benefit of the poor misguided souls lugging around a freaking gallon bottle of water and chugging it all day. Just have a coffee. (Theres no health benefits to pissing 800 times a day anyway)

This is the first time I've ever seen someone complain about bespoke or utilize. Is that a thing some group of people whine about?

Custom: Tailored to Your Needs

Custom refers to racewear that are made according to the customer's specifications. These items are typically created based on predetermined options or parameters provided by the company or individual offering them. For example, ordering a custom-made race suit allows you to choose specific styles, measurements and logo positions from a pre-existing range of options.

Bespoke: Uniquely Crafted

Bespoke, on the other hand, takes customisation to another level. Unlike custom-made racewear, bespoke items are entirely unique and created from scratch. The term 'bespoke' originated from the tailoring industry, where it referred to a garment that was individually cut and sewn to fit a specific customer.

In today's context, bespoke refers to products or services that are meticulously crafted to meet the client's exact specifications. Whether it's a bespoke race suit or a bespoke race gloves, every aspect is carefully considered and designed from the ground up. This level of personalisation often comes with a higher price tag, as it requires more time and expertise to create.
