A friend of mine is into this Swedish band called Ghost but I've never really dug the stuff I've heard from them. They have a new album coming out and they released this single and it's pretty badass. Those of you into Red Fang or The Sword could probably get behind this.
I love the big chunk out of the cymbal in the Barn Burner video. I think '68 is considered punk, but they seem to me to be stripped down heavy rock riffs.
Seasick Steve was discovered busking delta blues on a beat up three string, but his production has gone way up since then.

This is pretty old now (2000), but I just recently discovered them and they're badass. Such a unique sound. It's like a bunch of punk kids who were also really into prog rock. It's obvious these guys really dig King Crimson. They only released one LP before disbanding.

Rush even made fun of that during their most recent tour. They started with walls of stacks and as the show went on, roadies would come out and take down the amps until it was just one half stack that was actually the only amp being used the entire time.

Wasn't sure where to put this. Discovered completely at random this week. I kind of have a hard on for surf rock and all of its variants. This was just the breath of fresh air I needed at work the other day. But I fucking dig the sword fanboyism in here. By far my favorite band from Austin, I've seen them around town like seven times.
