Considering what a piece of shit my Pixel XL battery turned out to be? Sorry Google, no money from me this round. You need a time out. My Note 4 and Google Nexus still charge and run just fine.
Never had a battery fail this bad in a smartphone before.

Understandable. I got the 3a XL because the battery on my OG XL took a nose dive at 2.5 years old and I broke the screen trying to replace it. My problem is that nobody sends out updates nearly as fast as Google. Usually it's a minimum of 6 months and you're lucky if the phone gets more than one version upgrade. I'm no longer willing to fuck around with custom roms anymore.

iphone6 took less than 1hr to replace the battery, amazon replacement batteries come w/ all the tools needed less than 20bucks, for the pixelxl i figure it wouldn't be as annoying.

I'm salty about this. I am over 2 years now with the Pixel XL they sent me to replace my 2 year old, malfunctioning 6p. I don't expect them to support the phones forever, but I'm mainly upset that no phones these days are very attractive coming from the OG Pixel. The only thing I want is the same Pixel XL but with dual front-facing speakers. Add that and I am 100% in. And fuck getting rid of a head phone jack. I have both wireless and wired ear phones and there is a time and place for each type.

Nahh man, I still have my S3 the kids sometimes use for games and it still holds a charge just fine. Both the wife and I have the s7 which are about 3 yrs old and they work fine, still hold an all day charge.
Anyway, I was gonna get the new S10 for the wife for xmas. She still has the s7 and its all rigth but she sometimes complains that it bugs out now and shit. Plus she loves to take pictures and video on her phone and I guess the s10 has a pretty good camera set up? Anyone here own one? Was thinking about the S10, the medium one, not the small one and not the s10+, although when I walk into Verizon that might change lol since im like a wide eyed school girl in a make up isle when surrounded by all those fresh new devices.

My wife plays ps4 and shit but she's far from your wife in terms of getting excited about any new tech. That's pretty cool.
