Fuck Arsenal. Everyone wants to rant and rave about Wengers "team selection" - I thought it was a strong side, and everyone on the pitch at the start was an international player.... Not his fault the players didn't do shit. Ox seems to have regressed this season a fair amount - probably from a lack of playing time as much as anything, but he was really poor today. Coquelin isn't the solution at DM/RB/LB whatever - a decent player, but not quality enough. Blackburn had one deflected shot, and one goal - massive credit to them as they defended their asses off. We had the chances, but couldn't finish. Munich in a few days seems terrifying at the moment, which means we'll probably play excellently and win/draw at home - only to get my hopes up and get fucking murdered in Germany. Take that prediction to the bank.

Note to self, don't set up a sparring session for 11:30 on the day of an Arsenal match (against a 20 year old kid w/ a vicious left hook). I was so pissed off after the game, I went all out and got my ass beaten in. Great start to this stupid fucking weekend.

I agree - but I'm damn near 30 and let Arsenal games LITERALLY ruin entire days/weeks. I'll be sick to my stomach about this stupid loss until our next stupid loss. Haha. I wonder if I'll ever grow out of this?

Baseball comes really close out here. We regularly had fistfights as kids over our local team. But there's no other sport in the world that has better fans than Soccer. We need more chants here, especially negative ones for our players.

After the WBA loss I was at the point where I didn't even want to read or see anything LFC related as it would just piss me off. Not sure what Laudrup was thinking with his Swansea team today but I don't think it would have mattered the way LFC was playing. If only they could play this well every game.....

When you know that you're going to get your ass kicked no matter what you do in 24 hours I suppose that would agitate anybody

Nah, Arsenal will win or draw tonight - only to get me going again, and then get drilled in Munich. Clockwork.

I actually love what Wenger said, and his aggressive tone. He puts up with a ton of shit from those "journalists". Thesun? Really? Get a real fucking job.

Uhh yeah, pretty sure we know why Arsene was angry. Arsenal had some moments but overall if crying about the ref is the best you can do while getting no shots on target then there isn't much else to say. Doubt the second 45 will change.

Bayern are like.. really good...

wow

Extremely impressed
Granted I'm sure most non-Germans barely watch the Bundesliga but I don't see why Bayerns quality would be that surprising. They knocked out the best RM squad in the last 10 years last year and should have never gone to penalties with Chelsea. They seem even better this year than last. Will be interesting to see what Pep does with them.

LOL. I think the only thing worse than giving that corner was Bayern's defense of it. But yea, I don't think you can be surprised by how good they are. Bayern is basically the national team, and the youth is now hitting their physical prime.

The goal seems to have invigorated Arsenal, maybe they'll manage to make a series of it.

Tie's over, should have been 4 or 5-1 though if Giroud had scored maybe things were different. Aside from that Neuer just fell asleep or Arsenal wouldn't have even scored.

Welp, at least I don't have to deal with a few weeks of psyching myself up for the return. Wouldn't be bothered at all with playing a bunch of kids in the return leg and focusing on the league. BM is the second best team in Europe this season, and are better this season than they were last season... Quality, quality side. Arsenal are a million miles away from competing with the top top sides in Europe (or England for that matter). Could be worse though, could be Pool or Spurs!

So in reading more, Pep is getting ?100m to spend in the summer. We could be seeing the rise of a new Barca if that is true. You'd easily be able to add 3 to 4 world class players with that money. Possibly more if they sell Robben as I can't see him being a bench player and liking it for any length in time.

Yarr - plus, I imagine tons of world class players would love to get an opportunity at BM. Massive club, great tradition, good quality of life, etc. Have all the makings of a club that could go on a massive run. They have a good amount of ridiculously talented youth as well. I think I said it here last week, (maybe I said it on the foxsports site) - but Suarez would be a great fit in that system - though I imagine LFC will be asking for a fuck-ton of cash for him (40mil?). Villa is too old, Kun isn't really the same type of player... Not sure if Suarez would even be keen, but he would add something to an already excellent attack.

Ahh yes, because asking a journalist attending your press conference why he is looking at you is perfectly normal ROFL
