Yeah it's one of the main stories on the BBC news site but until we know which one was allegedly done for it's just a guessing game.
At the risk of sounding jingoistic, I'm presuming it was the away team that took a dive for a particular score. The sums involved (highest paid was ?121k to one person) sound like chicken feed to the players in the teams involved at the time, why would they risk their career in case it turns out there's a new Shady Sheikh in town for what would be 2-3 weeks wages?

So apparently this Liverpool game was the one that was fixed. The opposing goalie was suppose to let in at least 3 goals but Liverpool only managed to score once.

Forest or Blackburn which one is going to implode first 2 sets of owners with no idea how to run a football club. Boyd saga was the straw that broke the camels back I suspect for McLeish.

He's already listed as the early bookies favourite but like Wanand said, the owners have started off pretty badly, Driscoll was indeed fucked over. I don't think they are anywhere near the Venkys level yet but they sure need to stabilise shit asap.

To be fair to Davies he was hard done by with the previous administration when he was rewarded with two playoff appearances in a row with a fairly average squad by being fired to make way for BrollyWally.
