What's the problem with ponytail? He's always seemed pretty enthusiastic about what they're doing, but also hasn't oversold anything that I've kept an eye on. Has he fucked up a lot of stuff that I missed?

If you count his time with EQII, that's about his most notable mess up but I think people just view him as a guy who just spouts out hollow statements. He really hasn't done anything of worth yet but I guess he hasn't done anything horrible either.

Though my personal opinion, I blame him for leading of team to undo everything Scott and his team had done with EQII. I guess that only matters if you were one of the few enjoying the game at that time though.

He ran the original planetside series into the ground post Core Combat *Google BFR's ruining the game* causing a metric shit ton of very dedicated players to quit.

He ran original EQ into a shit-fest of expacks post Planes of power which is widely considered as a great fall-out for that community.

Pony tail's crowning achievement in the mmoverse is Gaia Online. Just google it to get an idea what this guy is about.

As I've said before Georgeson is SOE's undertaker. If I'm not mistaken this is his first series that he's been involved with from the start with SOE. Keep an eye on it.

I just feel dirty around Georgeson too. He just gives me bad vibes. When a chick interviews him, I just feel like he's going to knock her over the head and take her away.

May be an unfair assessment but he has the smile of The Joker.

I get the greasy car salesman feel, like not only is he grimy at the dealership and makes a vaguely inappropriate comments towards someones wife, but he distributes child pornography in his off time, which nobody knows about, but nobody will be surprised when they find out in the news later.

Yeah I know right.. we should have a Rerolled Reporter team. Send Utnayan out there to talk with these guys.

Most of those reporters are either fanboys or just suck at reporting. Or don't know anything about the game and it's background.

Really depends on who's pocket they're in and if they hold to an unbiased viewpoint. A lot of article writers and interviewers get particular favors done for them for favorable reviews and softball interviews. Usually in the form of somewhat exclusive access to important people within game companies.
