Not sure I want to know why Mr. Qifrey has a harem of 10 year olds in his "witch school." Can't say I am surprised by it either I suppose.

This isn't current anime, but I don't know if there is any better place to ask.

I am currently watching season 2 of Classroom of the Elite. I like the premise (I'm a sucker for school settings), but the main character is such a smug yet bored all the time and also way smarter than everyone else and oh also great at sports and shit douchebag asshole that I'm having trouble continuing. I know I've seen this a few times in anime but this feels like it is being taken to an entirely whole new level. He watches people get beat up just so he can manipulate them into going along with his plan, whatever the fuck it is. I know it isn't all about getting his class to the top, so there has to be something more to it (I don't want spoilers though).

Seriously, this guy is a full-blown sociopath. Does it ever ease up, or make sense, or give me some sense of meaning along the way to justify him being such a shitheel that I hate even more than the explody guy in My Hero Academia (only in season 3 there, so no spoilers again)? I might be able to put up with all the diabolical shit he pulls, if it weren't for him acting like he's so utterly bored and everyone is beneath him and they are just pawns in whatever game he's playing.

Or will it never satisfy me and I should just cut my losses now? I mean, I kinda like the show with all the tests and shit. It's just that fuckface I can't stand.

Don't ask questions you don't want the answer to. But yeah, that was my first thought too.

Did they explain in season 2 where he came from already? I can't remember

He's not smug, he's just that many levels above everyone and there's a reason for that.

I've only watched the first episode of Witch Hat so far so I haven't gotten to the school yet but my first thought is 'he has them because the main character needed "classmates" her age'.

Nah, they haven't explained anything, but there have been a few flashback scenes where he's in some sort of program and everyone else fails/dies/gets killed and he's the only one left.

Still, even if he was subjected to some horrible torture training that made him superior to everyone else, he's still a fucking sociopath. Hopefully he gets even a speck of empathy sometime soon. I'm all for irreedemable characters, but this guy is supposed to be the one we follow and perhaps identify with, and I think only really fucked up people would identify with him through like 16+ episodes. That's a long time to wait for him to, hopefully, not be a dickbag in the future.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep going and hopefully I find some reason to give a shit about him as a character soon. Currently I hope he dies spectacularly.

Don't forget today is the release of the last ep of my hero.

Get your tissues.
Imagine being haunted by the ghost of one of the worst serial killers/mass murderers of all time just because she wants you to get your V-card punched by your mutual crush.

Qifrey likes the feeling of a good wand, if you catch my meaning. While he hasn't appeared in the anime yet, the other male witch who appears in the intro sequences is his 'best friend.' That he built a house with and lives with. So not a harem, implied gay couple with adopted kids.

Demons of the Shadow Realm keeps getting better. Starting to hope this isn't a single season show.

Saw the new Slime movie today as a matinee. Not anything phenomenal, but better than the last one. I guess if you want a spoiler free synopsis, first half is the "beach episode," second half is action. Gobta is the focus character
and nearly gets water dragon poon.

It's relatively detached from the plot of S4, but the stinger reveals
who Diablo went to recruit.

Rimuru has also
refashioned his old Megiddo move into a stronger variant called Megiddo Ray, and it's powerful enough for Valentine to change her opinion of him from "annoying junior that I could probably take if I double teamed him with Hinata" to "serious threat."
