If they finish the product, they have to get it to a state where it will actually survive public reviews. It would also need to be able to hold player attention over longer times.

I don't think they are capable of getting it to that kind of state, never mind a state that warrants over 1 billion in early access income.

Roberts career would be over and he'd be without income.
