That's when you announce Star Citizen NextFinishing the game will kill the golden goose.

I would be afraid at this rate eventually a lot of the wales and target audience would start to die off.

It definitely doesn't help that they are making design decisions that are completely counter intuitive to each other. They plan on implementing player owned space stations and I'd assume that opposing player Orgs would want to fight each other over these stations, and at the same time they are planning their fuckin retarded "Death of a space man" idea where your character will permanently die and is replaced by a clone or child or whatever and you lose most of your money to inheritance tax. In the current build of the game it's super easy to get blown up in combat or just accidentally bumping something with your ship. Can't possibly imagine why they would build this game with all these cool combat ships etc and then completely discourage any kind of combat via permadeath and taxes. If they finish the product, they have to get it to a state where it will actually survive public reviews. It would also need to be able to hold player attention over longer times.
I don't think they are capable of getting it to that kind of state, never mind a state that warrants over 1 billion in early access income.
Roberts career would be over and he'd be without income.
They are never releasing this. That would be stupid.

Is that really a thing? WTFI feel like their design decisions are based around "is this tedious and anti fun?", and that's how they come up with bullshit like engineering, so now if I wanna take my Polaris out, or anything with more than one seat really, I have to recruit some goof to sit in the ass of the ship with a repair gun waiting for shit to break, he won't see space/planets/asteroids/combat, just sits down there looking at a screen waiting to see which component needs to be repaired.
Oh it's very real, and worse than I originally described because I forgot to mention you also have to keep a fire extinguisher handy because fire will spread like your metal ship is made out of fuckin dry hay.

So, a ship that flies through space and is capable of space combat does not have some sort of automatic fire suppression? The best they can do is guy in the back running around with a fire extinguisher...that's just great lmao.
