The Ferengi development in DS9 is, indeed, fantastic. You even gain some sympathy for why they are the way they are. The Nagus is ridiculous and irritating, though.

Jake episodes were absolutely weak, just like Kira episodes. You can only do so much with shit actors.

Ferengi are awesome. The perfect balance of humor and introspection. Rules of Acquisition were truly great shit.

Yeah, the Rules of Acquisition were an excellent addition. It was the structure of an entire civilization, and a good reminder that we have things like the Ten Commandments that so many still follow. Pretty clever.

In the end they threw it out for a system focused on equity, social programs, and reparations. Truly ahead of their time.

Quark’s mom was the mastermind, mostly just to make a profit when you get down to it.

It did mirror American capitalism, though. Like women in the workforce = lets sell them shit to take their money lol

One of my favorite Ferengi episodes in DS9 is when Rom, Quark and Nog take the ship Quark got from Cousin Gaila and went back in time and crashed at Roswell.

One of many great ones

Most of the Ferrengi ones were pretty good. Little Green Men was a classic, though. I love that one conversation that is like

"What's that smell?"
"It's a highly addictive substance that destroys the internal organs"
"Isn't it illegal?"
"No, everyone buys it"
"These humans buy poison? They'll buy anything!"

Also them tricking the nurse into giving them ear jobs lol

A few licks hit, but generally disagree with the first half of the video with regard to its tone and treatment toward Picard Season 2.

Saw some rumor they were thinking of bringing Tom Paris back for this. Which would be a little weird, since he actually played the cadet flight leader in the episode where Wesley almost gets expelled from the academy due to accidental death of a student they tried to cover up.

Tim Russ played a person trying to steal the Enterprise before he was Tuvok. Wouldn’t be sci-fi without recycled actors

he also tried to steal the Dax symbiont in DS9 and was bridge crew on the Enterprise-B in Generations.

Right, and it would be just as weird in his case if they tried to bring him back to Picard as Tuvok. Although admittedly the character he portrayed on TNG was a bit less high profile than the one the Paris actor did in his episode of TNG.

Dax is a symbiont, Jadzia is a trill, Jadzia Dax is a symbiote.
i'm pretty sure that "symboint" with an N just showed up after people continually mispronounced "symbiote." they both have identical definitions. Symbiote showed up in the 1800's, Symbionte showed up a few decades later. it's like how "irregardless" is now officially in the dictionary.
