This is the only 'new' Star Trek I look forward to. As long as they don't do any more singing episodes I'm good. I won't even watch the singing episode on a rewatch.

If you like Star Trek, you should have accepted that in a way it has been pushing an agenda for a long time. In this universe though, it fits a lot better than most other shows. So either you do not like Star Trek or.....Yes.

While Nichelle Nichols was indeed the first African American woman to play a major role on a primetime television series, her casting on Star Trek wasn't solely due to her being black. While the show's vision of a diverse, inclusive future played a role, Nichols' talent and Roddenberry's vision for a forward-thinking show that explored social issues also contributed to her casting.

Oh come on. Thats an unflattering pic but the SNW version of Nurse Chapel is reasonably hot and feminine, and afaik as straight as a graduate of star fleet academy can be. You can tell she's aiming for almost a 7 of 9 kind of thing.

Obviously you're correct for several others but shes not bad

Going from old memories, they probably over girl bossed Uhura and maybe the navigator a bit, but the cast is all pretty likeable. Unlike Discovery, I can't recall them taking a cry time-out or even when any of them cried at all (maybe a few of the war or war memory episodes?).

3 of them have man haircuts and Romjin looks like their grandmother. Maybe the blond looks okay in the right outfit but I highly doubt new trek is putting her in any seven of nine skinsuits.
