This show seems to have two writing teams, one who knows the lore and one who want to be making anything other than Star Trek. I know it was a mixed bag, but the hangover episode was one I actually liked despite not being able to stand mexicunt diesel dyke. The black and white one was completely non sensical and they decided to rape the lore in that one with a version of Commander Kor who has no similarities to the John Collicos version from TOS/DS9 for some fucking reason. The 24 style episode, despite being derivative of the TNG episode, I felt was really good and had some amazing obscure call backs to both TOS and even the first Trek Movie (as aweful as that one was). It is all over the place and a bunch of bottle concept episodes is not how you build a good season, ESPECIALLY when we as fans know that the show is ending with a half season after this. They also seem to have dumped the bulk of the major character arcs for the original cast, other than Spock, in favor of Scotty which is sort of how Voyager became all Doctor and Seven episodes. And the biggest issue is, even if I did not know what a libtard the Pike actor was IRL, he is such a wet fart that Darren from Bewitched James T always makes the show a ton better when he is present.
It started out good, but its a mess of inconsistency now. My guess is Kurtzman dumped all the writers from Lower Decks and his other DEI shows into the mix. Whoever said he wanted Picard S4, has it backwards. He did not run S3 and was pissed when it wound up successful. He buried it in favor of Academy and that shit-tastic Section 31 movie. Dude also was not involved as much in this show, until it became the only one that fans remotely liked. Then he came along and turned it to shit like everything else he touches, sometime last season. He was the major architect behind the music ep and the driver of all the buffy ripoff shit, btw.
