Yeah this game was/is great. Prob one of the last good DICE games. There is vehicle/space battle shit too. Its all so good, especially with the music and the SW pew pews. Just think, the last update for this was like 5 yrs ago. lol.

On sale the SP campaign is definitely worth it. Iden Versio is a cool character graphics in this game far exceeded their time. They had A-team graphics team for this. :emoji_thumbsup:

Huh, looks like I bought this in 2017 and played it for all of 4 hours, I have virtually no memory of it. Was this the game that was loaded with loot box bullshit? Guess I'll download it.

Playing through single player campaign this morning... Uh... its awesome? Like holy shit its star wars! Looks unbelievable for it's age - incredible art team. MP is fun but it's a slog leveling up everything so far. Wish it was faster is only complaint for this.

Yep. It was so bad that everyone boycotted it and EA subsequently caved. Basically took TONS of cash to make progress. Once they 86’d that more people played but it really never recovered.

Loot boxes never made it into live game. You're talking about the open beta. And youre wrong, this was hugely popular game.

Star Wars Battlefront II has sold an estimated 9 million copies worldwide by the end of 2017. VGChartz reports that in its first week, the game sold about 1.3 million units, with PlayStation 4 accounting for the majority (66%). The game was also the second best-selling title in the US in November 2017, behind Call of Duty: WWII.

Just double checked. I’m old and suck.



And don’t forget that the entire progression system was a fucking mess after they turned it off because the underlying systems were geared for a mobile game long grind for free progression, sped up tremendously with MTX. Once they knee jerked back on the MTX design, it took them months to revamp the purposely stagnated in game progression system.

Personally Im more curious as to why or how this is making a comeback 7 years later. Had a decent single player campaign, and the MP is decent now, graphics still hold up - I’m guessing people are just starved for a decent game and not getting what they want out of COD or what became of battlefield.

Oops sorry mkopec mkopec you are right. They scrapped the entire MTX system a week before official launch.

It was the progression system that sucked for quite a while as a result that wasn’t fixed.

I really want a conquest mode with no heros. I'd never stop playing if I could get this game mode with 64 or more players.

Yeah, getting one tapped by kylo ren is annoying haha. The troops though are a ton of fun to play, I don't really enjoy the hero's much. About to wrap up story now - for a gamepass free weekend, this was a blast.

I dont remember any co-op, its more like a lobby shooter, big battles 64 man battles and smaller shit too. Like Battlefield series but with SW shit. They do have space battles though and those are different from Battlefield series.
